I Will Always Love You No Matter What

Cute, little, fuzzy dogs,
You treat them like they're stupid hogs.

You whip them around and throw them to the ground.

What if someone abused you like that everyday?
Wouldn't you want to just go run away?

Do you remember the day you got me,
When you said that you would always love me?

When you said we would always be best friends,
And we would always be together until the very end?

When you would cry,
I would always be by your side.

When your were hurt,
I was there to comfort.

As the years went by with tears in your eyes,
you grew away from me.

You looked at me with those red eyes of hate,
All I could think wonder was why?

When you kicked me down, threw me to the ground,
And hit me with a chair.

You screamed at me and said you hated me,
Now you don't even care.

You came home one night and stumbled to the door,
When you came in you nearly fell on the floor.

You threw a glass bottle at the top of my head,
You hit me with your belt before you went to bed.

One time you came home with a gun in your hand,
I looked at you while I was laying on the soft land.

You pointed your gun right at me,
I thought to myself that I would finally be free.

I saw you pull the trigger back as I counted down,
Three......Two......One......

You had shot me.

You fell to your knees,
You started to grieve.

I laid there looking at your with sorrow,
Knowing that there wasn't going to be a tomorrow.

Do you remember when you adopted a new friend,
A few years after it came to my end?

You looked up at the sky and crossed your heart,
"Never again will I do that hurtful part."

When I looked at you down from above,
My heart was filled with pride and love.

Nothing could make me hate you,
Since you were always my friend,
I just can't wait for that day where we unite again.

To walk on the clouds together,
And be best friends, forever and ever...
