I Sleep to Dream
I keep on having the same dream
nearly every night
like a movie on repeat
I have to take another school year
and you're there to teach
Sometimes I see you down the corridor,
sometimes I don't
and we scarcely ever speak
only my eyes searching yours from afar
squeezing my heart
when I wake up
to realize
it was all made up
