You currently live in a workhouse where you have to work all day every day with no rest and aren't paid. You do this in the hope that when you are older you will get a job as a servant in an affluent household in the country side.
It's early morning and you have just been woken by matron " Get up you filthy creatures!" She shouts. Urgh you think. You hate chores but you are forced to do them, they make you tired and are really boring. However, if you don't you'll be punished.
