Country Girl (John Luke Robertson)

Part 1

I carried a box inside sticking it in my room.  My room was filled with boxes and junk. My bed, frame and box frame leaned against the wall. And everything else scattered. As i walked outside i heard people talking. I came into view and all eyes were on me. 

"And this is my daughter Dakota" My dad said the guys.

I gotta admit the shy one is kinda cute. 

"Howdy" i stated my thick sounthern accent showing

"Dakota this Willie and Jase Robertson and their kids John Luke and Cole"

"Nice to meet you" i said before taking more boxes inside

"Is she always like that?" I think willie asked

"Ya it takes her a while for her to warm up."

"Oh"

I met up with Bailey in the kitchen

"Did you see the boys?" I asked her

"Ya cole is kinda cute"

"Nah John luke" i said laughing

Next thing you know the boys were bringing in boxes

"Well shit" i mutter to Bailey as we watched the two younger boys worked. 

We went outside to see my dad grabbing boxes

"We're going to the robertsons for dinner"

"Ok"

"Cool, whatever" i said

The rest of the guys came out and we walked next door. I adjusted my tank top pulling it up not wanting my boobs falling out. Bailed snickered knowing the struggle i have with tank tops. I glared as i walk with John Luke. 

"So are yall sisters?" Cole asked

"Nope, our parents were best friends till Baileys passed. Then she moved in with me."

"Oh I'm sorry for your loss" both boys whispered looking at the ground slightly

"Its ok stuff happens"

"Where are yall from" 

"Tuscaloosa, alabama"

"Thats cool whats its like out there?" John Luke asked

"Its super hot in the summer. But we go hunting, fishing and riding a lot. Once a month we do a BBQ. But the winter is better. When it snows we make trails in the yard then attach this gaint tube to the back of the 4 wheeler. And we drive around on the trails." Bailey said smiling. 

"Sounds fun" 

"Yup" i said as we got to the house. 

We were taken inside to be greeted by more people. 

"Miss Kay this is Dakota, Bailey and Korey" Willie said introducing us.

"Its nice to meet you" me and bailey said at the same time

"Nice to meet you to dears" she said 

We introduced to everyone else as dinner was being placed on the table. I sat next to John Luke and Bailey next to Cole. 

"Thank you lord for keeping Jep and Si safe, and bringing new family to use and this wonderful food. Amen"

"Amen" Everyone said. 

We tucked in eating squirrel, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, corn and other veggies. Holy cow this food is good. 

"Thank you miss kay the food is amazing" i said smiling for the first time truely. 

"You welcome sweetheart glad you liked it"

After everything was cleaned up the adults talked in the living room while me, bailey, cole and john luke were outside

 We all laid on the sun beds. I laid next to john luke with my head on his chest and his jacket and arm around  me as we all looked at the sky and listened to the bugs. 

"What are you doing tomorrow?" He whispered to me

"Unpacking" i whispered back

"Do you want help?"

"Sure" 

I was pulled out of my trance when my dad came out

"Girls come on we gotta head home"

"Ok Korey"

"K dad" 

i stood up and gave john luke his jacket back. He stood up and gave me a hug goodbye.

"See you tomorrow"

"Yah"

Me and Bailey walked back home with my dad. As soon as we got home me and bailey helped each other and got the beds set up. I changed into a t shirt and spandex before making my bed. I brushed my teeth and put my hair in a bun. I turned off the lights and laid in bed falling asleep
