i wish i could go back to a simpler time.
a time where i didn't feel the weight of the entire world upon my shoulders,
a time where i didn't feel the need to carry everyone's burdens,
a time where i didn't desire to meet everyone's expectations and be someone that i am not,
a time where i didn't care about what i looked like,
a time when my mother was alive,
a time where i didn't feel burnt out at the slightest things,
a time where i didn't have to beg someone to love me or give me attention,
a time when the world made sense.
i wish i could go back to a simpler time.
maybe i could make different decisions,
maybe i could've changed the entire course of my existence.
but now, here i am, wishing that it was different,
wishing that i could go back to a simpler time.
