"Ok, class dismissed. And remember this assignment is worth a whole letter grade so you guys better do it."

That was Mr.Corker my favorite teacher who teaches my favorite class, mythology, which is the last class of school.
'So the assignment is due next Friday and I can work with a partner.'
David would do. David is always there when I need him. Now, time to stalk Sebastian. Just kidding! lol. I'm too lazy for that and plus that's just plain creepy. Now is actually the time to get back to reality and get on the bus. I lived exactly a mile away from school so I always had a choice to either walk home or take the bus. And today was just a really long day and I really needed a break from the stress and torture of this world. That just sounded really depressing didn't it? I mean is it just me or does anyone not get the occasional feeling that we're just here wasting our time on this rotten earth with no clear goal. Maybe its just me.

As I arrived at my house that didn't look quite as expensive as all the other houses on my block, and none of the houses looked that expensive, I felt a pang of embarrassment. Although the feeling left as quickly as it came when I saw my mother with Leo at her side. Leo was my little brother and he made everyone in the family happier and able to survive this cruel world. As usual I saw my mother's plastered fake smile and felt a pang of guilt for ever getting embarrassed about how our house looked. I knew she worked many tiring hours just to get the bills paid. With the absence of a man to do all the work she barely had any free-time. Actually no, all her free-time was spent taking care of Leo as I went to school. You're probably wondering why I'm not helping out. Welllllll.... I did....

Flashback:

"Mom, are you okay"?! "I'm fine." Pause.

"Go back to your room".

"As if I would after seeing you like this, Please just let me help you"!

"Just focus on you studies".

"You expect me to focus on my studies while knowing that you suffer everyday, and for what, a measly education, No I wont stand to see you suffer anymore Imma find a job right this minute!"

That's when it came. as weak as she was at the moment, her slap hit me with a force that had a purpose behind it. It stung. I was never one to be able to hold back tears because never could and they came falling like Niagara falls. I swear I couldn't stop and I was crying for more reasons then one too.

And ever since that incident I never brought it up again. I've been waiting for an explanation ever since, it never came.
