What does it mean when you wake up somewhere, with no clue as to why?

Sofia slowly blinked at the ceiling. The wood tones of the room made her increasingly uncomfortable and she couldn't tell why. There was just... Something about this situation that wasn't right. Well, it was obvious. She couldn't help but wonder if she'd been kidnapped. But why would anyone do that in the first place? The woman let out a groan as she sat up. Moving her arms, she stretched her limbs.

She squinted her eyes at the sheer curtains of the room, shifting her eyes away, she notices a rather large item.

A bag.

Sofia eyed the purse, as she grabbed it, her hands moved to feel the fabric. It seemed expensive— it was also quite heavy. Opening the string, she looked inside the contents of the bag. Her eyes widened slightly. "What..." Placing her hand inside, she took out a smaller bag, it seemed to be the reason of the initial purse's heaviness. A brown leather bag, tied with a thin rope. Placing the first bag down, she opened the brown one. Inside were golden coins, many of them. Too many to count, that much was obvious. How did she get these? Tying off the bag again, she dumped the contents of the first bag onto the dresser she found it on.

Various items spilled out as expected. A brush, various hair-ties, various hairpins, a canteen, and a vial of perfume. Picking up one of the hairpins, Sofia looked at it compared to the others. The hairpins all varied in style so she guessed that they also varied in origin. Quickly enough, Sofia placed the items back into the bag, and took a sip from the canteen (which is she quickly found out was safe water, much to her relief).

The tan woman latched the bag over her shoulder, checking the security of the bag, she walked over to one of the the doors within the room. It was placed awkwardly so it was probably some sort of bathroom or closet. As she opened the door, her guesses were right, it was in fact a bathroom. Which was good, she probably looked bad. Sofia let out another yawn as approached the sink. Looking down at her hands, she looked at her well painted nails and tan complexion with a sense of vulnerability. It wasn't that she felt ugly, oh god no, it was just that she felt weak, she didn't even know where she was.

Or even who she was? How would she be able to go on with her day, being clueless, unaware of her own identity? Where would she go, who could she talk to?

Turning the knob, she let the cold water run through her hands, she leant down to wash her face. Taking a deep breath as she let the water hit her face, she closed her eyes as the sounds of the running water filled her ears. She wondered what she had done to deserve this. As she finished, she took the clean towel from the side wiping both her hands and face. Finally, Sofia looked at herself in the mirror.

The towel fell.

"Huh?"

Sofia reached to the mirror with a confused gaze. Her tan skin, smooth and glowing, her deep red hair, not orange in tint but a deep burgundy undertone. Running a hand through her hair, she felt the texture, it was slightly wavy at the ends, but it was definitely healthy. Staring at her brown eyes, she looked at the scar that adorned her eye and the piercing the went across her eyebrow. Sofia touched her cheek, almost as if she didn't believe that the person in the mirror was her.

What does it mean when you wake up with an appearance that you can't even tell is you anymore?

Sofia looked down at the towel she dropped, leaning down to pick it up, she rushed to get it back on the holder it was on. Adjusting her bag again, she walked out of the bathroom and shut the door behind her. She could feel a headache coming on as she pinched the area between her eyebrows. She wanted—no, needed to leave. Her brown eyes shifted to the door in front of her. The one that she was sure would lead her to her exit. Raising her hand, she twisted the knob. Peeking out, she looked at the hallway she was in. Looking left and right, she stepped out and closed the door. Sofia looked at both directions she could go, choosing the right, her feet picked up their pace.
