we made it to the doctors office after a lil 15 minute drive , i checked in and we waited in the waiting room for my name to be called.
" ian even finna lie i'm scared as a mf " kai said outta nowhere
" don't be scared na " i said laughing
" what's that shit called when you scared to get married ?" he asked me making me look at him
" nigga you talking bout gamophobia ?" i asked him laughing
" the fuck is that ?" he asked me making me laugh
before i got to answer i heard my name being called
" maya brown ?" a nurse said looking around
" yes that's me " i said as i stood up
" okay follow me this way , and will he be joining us today ?" the nurse asked
" yes " i said with a smile
" okay right this way " she said as we followed her down the hall
she led us into a room before shutting the door behind us.
" okay so how are you today ?" he asked me as she put on a glove
" i'm fine how are you ?" i asked as i adjusted myself on the bed trying not to make hella noise
" i'm fine , so what are we here for ?" she asked as she looked at me
" well i came in today because i've been having symptoms of being pregnant so i wanted to come and make sure " i told her taking a deep breath
" okay , well let's get started then " she said.

me and kai stayed in the quiet room in silence just waiting for the nurse to come back with the results.
just then she entered the room and took a seat where she was before
" okay so your results have came back , and you are 1 month pregnant " she said with a smile making me smile
i looked over at kai before he got up to hug me
" i love you mama " he said hugging me as i felt tears run down my face
" i love you too " i said holding on to him

shortly after we ended up leaving the doctors office , the nurse told us that my next appointment would be the next month on the 25th.
" can we go get something to eat baby , i'm hungry " i said as we walked to the car
" yeah whatchu want to eat ?" he asked as he opened my car door and i got in
" umm i really really want some canes " i told him smiling
" forreal baby ? canes ?" he asked me as he got in the car
" yes what's wrong with that ?" i asked him laughing
" shit nun if that's whatchu want " he said pulling out the parking lot
" yes it is " i said
" ight then that's whatchu gon get " he said looking at me before back at the road.
