It was him...

Oh how I wished he would not look down at me. But when did he ever listen to me? He looked down at me and we shared this awkward eye contact which both of us broke soon. He looked elsewhere as if he didn't even see me.

He then walked right past me pretending nothing even happened. "Watch where you're going!!" I yelled before I walked into the school campus with my friends. "Wasn't it you who bumped into him?" Kiara giggled. "I can't lose the argument." I shrugged.

"On top of that, I am never losing an argument against Kang Taehyun." I hissed. "Yeah sure but did you notice the way he stared at her?" Michiko said, dreamily joining her hands.

"You're exaggerating things." I tried to contain my smile. "Blind blind." Kiara sang in a low tone. I knew she was talking to me but I decided to ignore it.

"Come on, stop bothering Y/n, all of us know she doesn't like him and neither does he. On top of that, he already has a girlfriend. Also, he likes me." Yuna said. Kiara turned herself to face Yuna. "He likes you?"

"Yes, I mean ofcourse. He always walks right behind me on my way home to protect me, he once picked up my bag that fell on the floor, he didn't pick up a fight with Y/n just now because I was there and he knew how much I hate fights." Yuna smiled.

"Delusional much..." Michiko lowly said. But I heard it. I suppose Kiara did too. "Yeah he seems to be in love with you." I said it sarcastically, but Yuna didn't really seem to take it that way.

"I know, right. Sometimes, I feel really sorry for his girlfriend." She pouted. "Anyway, gotta go, we have math as our first subject and everyone must be waiting for me." Yuna skipped away with Michiko.

Me and Kiara started walking towards our class. "She thinks everyone loves her." Kiara hissed. "It's funny to watch how delusional she is." I smirked. "Gosh, I hate her." Kiara quivered in hate.

"Why can't we even say anything to her face?" Kiara whinned. "I can guarantee you that she will start bawling her eyes out and then complain to her mother who will inform that we made her daughter cry to our mothers and we know how it'll end." We finally reached out classroom.

"I hate her even more because of this reason." Kiara threw her bag onto her seat. "Don't worry, we'll just have to handle her for this year. Not even a year, few months." I collapsed onto my seat that was right next to Kiara's.

Don't get us wrong. I know we've been 'bestfriends' with Yuna for years but she has started to change. She has become a pick-me. I ain't even exaggerating. She always throws herself onto guys, insults us to look cool infront of the guys, says adult jokes infront of us but pretends to be innocent infront of guys and MUCH MORE.

But since we've known each other for such a long time, we've decided to stick around with her for now. Come on, we don't even have a choice.

The first class that we had was of economics. I barely understood what the teacher was even saying. Just when I start to understand the first thing she says, she gets to the 289th thing.

"Hey! Did you bring your phone today?" Kiara whispers to me as the teacher starts writing something on the board. "I do it everyday." I whisper back. Yeah, so, the thing is that we're not really supposed to bring phones into the school campus unless it's a special occasion.

Your phone gets confiscated if they catch you sliping phone in your backpack. But being one of the toppers of the class gives you the privilege of being trusted by the teachers.

"Did you?" I ask Kiara. She shakes her head slowly as she starts to copy down whatever the teacher was writing on the board. "Send me a picture of this later." I point at her notes. "Write notes during classes sometimes,uh?" She focused on copying down the notes.

I let out a smile of pleasure. Just then, someone had knocked on the door of the classroom that the teacher had closed. The teacher proceeds to open it as it grabs everyone's attention.

There comes the late-comers. Choi Beomgyu. Yeah ofcourse accompanied by Choi Yeonjun and Choi Soobin. "So, you are late again." The teacher demands an explanation after she closes the door.

"My dog ate my homework- wait no, that's what you're supposed to say when-" Beomgyu joked around. It did make the class laugh but it didn't have much of an effect on me. The teacher sighed in disappointment. "The classes have just started and you're starting to appear late to the classes already?"

"I apologise, teacher, these two- ouch!!" Soobin was about to give an explanation but Yeonjun elbowed him, as if telling him to shut up for good.

"It won't happen again!" Yeonjun smiled at the teacher. "I hope it doesn't. I will make sure the complaint reaches your parents if you appear halfway through the class." The teacher eyed them. But the three of them didn't have any fear of that glare.

"Sure!" All the three said at once. "Go to your seats." The teacher gestured with her hand. The three of them skipped their way to their seats that were beside each other at the back.

It was as if my eyes were acting up on their own but they decided to follow Beomgyu's trails until he settled down on his seat and then.... He looked at me. He probably caught the feeling of me staring at him. You know, how you're aware that someone's looking at you.

I quickly turn to the front to avoid any other awkward moment. I acted as if that eye contact didn't mean anything to me. As if it didn't make my heart race.

"Focus on the lessons...." Kiara sing-sang as she kept writing down the notes.
