Chapter one: Smudge

Smudge waited on the fence, the ground just about everywhere to see firestar again, after seeing the fire and the house folk panicking smudge had been worried about his old friend and ever since had waiting for him almost everywhere he even travelled into the forest a bit but had went back because he wasn't a fan of the forest, just as smudge was lost in thought a flame colored Tom trotted out of the overgrowth he was scrawny and looked stressed but somehow managed to look confident and like he had everything under control, he hopped onto the fence beside smudge and spoke "It's been quite awhile, I know we haven't spoke much since I left and I'm hurt to have to tell you this but.." he paused and smudge cocked his head, not liking the strained tone of voice "but...well the clans are leaving the forest." Smudge stood up his fur on end "What! Why!? The forest is just fine!! What about me?! Will you ever come back?!" Smudge's eyes were wide with worry

~ pov change ~

Firestar sighed, he hated the look of panic on smudges face but knew he had to tell the truth or he would regret it later on. "Smudge we both know we will need to go far, the twolegs are destroying our territory we need to leave or all the clans are in danger. Please understand that I don't want to do this, I don't want to leave you and princess but it has to be done, for the clans safety." Smudge had nodded, a look of understanding in his round gaze "if it must be done, promise me you'll stay safe, do you think..do you think we can hangout one last time ?" Firestar nodded " I believe it's possible I told my clan I may be gone awhile to break the news to you and princess I can stay with you for the rest of today and go see princess at sunrise tomorrow."
