the string is straining

Start from the beginning

Their imprints on my mind.
Haunted by illusions.
I want to go back in time.

And my town in where,
the sun never rises,
and the moon doesn't show up.
And the stars disappear,
behind the covers.

Where the clowns chase you,
to the woods.
Trees disguise as devils.
Soon my town,
was left uninhabited.

Soon, my town was destroyed,
by stampedes of monsters.
My remnants were crushed,
and stolen was my prosper.

Where the rivers turned green.
by hemlock poison.
And I was put on a saw,
that's so old fashioned.

They made me love crimes.
Haunted by illusions.
I want to go back in time.

And my town is where,
the sun never rises,
and the moon doesn't show up.
And the stars disappear behind the covers.

Where the land,
quakes by itself.
Mankind acts like a demon.
My town was left
uninhabited.

The silence howls,
until my ears go deaf.
The rain made me,
screech for my thirst to be quenched.
Although I was drenched.

Flooded water made,
my lungs scream with agony.
Oh, they laughed so hard,
laughed like it was all funny,
it felts unworldly.

Showers of boulders on me,
I might as well die.
Why this struggle,
God, do tell me why?

As the saw dropped,
my eyes opened,
it was a dream.
Years of maiming,
look what you all,
have done to me.

The sun never rose,
and the moon never showed up.
And the stars all,
vanished behind the covers.

I was always,
haunted by ghosts.
People all feel like ogres.
Soon, my town,
got sick of everything.

The lashes of ropes feel so sweet,
I keep wanting more, even if it hurts me.
Please, set me free.

Every time I break,
a scar is carved on my body.
They stepped on me,
like stepping on a dry leaf.
Oh, set me free!

Damn. Probably one of the bests I had written in just a short time. Fifty minutes for this one.
I finished the remnant of my noodles and started packing for tuition. I made an impromptu decision to get there early.
"Mom, I'm leaving for class." I shouted from my room.
"But doesn't it start in like an hour?" Her voice came from the kitchen.
"Yeah, I'm just going a little early. Need to get some things done. See you, bye." And I left the house. Knowing I had a lot of time, I decided to walk all the way. It was a twenty-five minute walk. But the weather was windy and pleasant. Putting on my earphones, I started heading towards my class.

Lectures are cancelled for today due to some clashes in time tables of 11th and 12th grades. Please review the week's work and complete your homework.

The message beeped on my phone.
YASS!!!
I had an unfinished novel in my bag. I always carried a novel in my bag, just for back up, you know. Rory Gilmore taught me that hack. It's been useful so far.
I started walking towards my favourite park. I'd go there often to free my mind off of problems and stress. I'd usually read or write and go for walks there. That park was undiscovered by other people my age. Maybe that was why I liked it. Call it gatekeeping, but I wanted that place, that one thing, all to myself.
I pulled out my tiffin box. Thankfully, mom hadn't packed Poha today. So, I pulled out my novel and started reading.
