Beep

...

Beep

'What the hell is that sound...?'

Beep

...

Beep

"Ughhhhhhhh"

Tsukasa's eyes opened from the sound of his alarm. He flung his arm around to turn it off. Tsukasa was unsuccessful, as the noise continued to hurt his ear drums. Half asleep, Tsukasa attempted to get out of bed and finally turn off the alarm.

He took one step out of his bed and rubbed his eyes. His body hurt.....but why? He decided to shake the soreness of his body to the side, and focus on the still beeping alarm.

Tsukasa reached out his hand and grabbed the alarm, pressing the button to turn it off. He sighed and stood up all the way. However, as soon as both his feet hit the ground, his legs felt weak and collapsed underneath him.

Tsukasa's eyes widened as he hit the ground. His head hurt so badly, but it didn't seem like anything serious.

"What the hell....."

'Was it the lack of sleep..? Or lack of food?'

As Tsukasa pondered over why he fell, he heard footsteps running closer to his room. He heard the door creak open and someone running over to him. It was Saki, her strawberry blonde pigtails already tied up for school.

"Hey Saki, could you help me get up?"

"Tsukasa!? What happened? Are you alright?"

Saki put her arm around his shoulder and helped him stand up. He was still a little shaky and weak. Saki brought him over to his bed so he could sit down.

Tsukasa sat on his bed and looked up at Saki. He looked happy but Saki noticed a small hint of guilt in his eyes.

"Sorry to worry you, Saki. I'm alright though! Just a little sore from performing"

He let out a sheepish smile towards her. Although Saki knew something fishy was happening, she decided to let it slide.

"If you say so. I made pancakes if you wanted any?"

Tsukasa thought about it for a moment, he didn't have a big appetite but didn't want to make Saki upset.

'What kind of brother would you be if you didn't accept her pancakes?'

"Yeah sure!"

Saki smiled brightly, the smile Tsukasa has always loved to see. This was his purpose, to make Saki smile, to be her star.

"Great! I'll go get some and bring them back up here!"

Saki gave one last smile before running downstairs to get the pancakes. Tsukasa let out a long sigh and started to get ready for school.

He tried standing again, except a lot slower this time. He was able to stand by himself and walked to his dresser.

He pulled out his uniform out of the drawer and put it on. He walked to his bathroom and noticed the bags under his eyes.

"They're a lot more noticeable today, dammit"

Tsukasa pulled out concealer from one of the cabinets and applied it under his eyes.

He hasn't been sleeping well lately. No matter how tired he was, he just couldn't sleep. He's tried so many different methods to help him sleep, but none seemed to work.

He put his hands on the counter of the sink, leaned forward, and just looked at himself. He ruffled his hair and started to get lost in thought.

'I'm such a mess. Why am I such an inconvenience to everyone? I'm supposed to be a star, i'm supposed to be happy and uplifting.'
