"He's basically alone. He's with Greenie."
"Exactly. He's with Greenie. I don't want to disturb them,"I argued.
"Fine. I'll handle it myself,"He said, walking off.
"No, no, no. Don't do that,"I protested, keeping up with him.
"It's going to be fine. You said you were going to tell him so I'm going to make you tell him."
"Tell who what?"Minho asked, coming out of nowhere. I was to nervous to form actual words.
"Y/N, what else can we do when we can't talk like a normal person?"Newt asked. Minho looked between us, confused.
"Shuck it,"I mumbled, crashing my lips against his. He wasted no time in kissing back, snaking an arm around my waist. His lips fit perfectly on mine, like they were designed for each other.
"See Y/N? That wasn't so hard."
"Shut up Newt. You're ruining our moment."
Gally(The Safe Haven:Movie:Your P.O.V)
I closed my eyes trying to sleep, but like always it was hopeless. I could count to infinity and take all the deep breaths I wanted, but it was useless. It had been like this for as long as I'd been here. I felt safer in the Glade because it was all I knew. Now there was more out here that could hurt me.
The others tried to tell me it wasn't true. They'd say that we were safe, and nothing could hurt us anymore. Their words meant nothing to me. We had heard that for years, and now we were supposed to believe it? It was expected of us, but I couldn't. I felt like something was wrong with me.
Sighing, I sat up and made my way around the sleeping people. How could they rest so easily after all that happened?
I walked towards the place I went every night. That rock with everyone's names made the pain worse, but I couldn't stop looking at that stone. Every night I kneeled before it and said every name out loud. It didn't matter if I knew them or not.
As I made my way to that rock I saw someone was already there mumbling to themselves. I could hear them quietly crying. I know I should mind my own business, but something told me I should talk to them. Maybe they understood.
I walked over and kneeled next to the stranger. They turned their head.
"Why are you up?"He asked quietly. I recognized it as Gally.
"I come here every night. I can't sleep if I haven't said their names,"I explained.
"I can't either. I have to say Chuck's first and last."
"Is that why you can't sleep?"I asked hesitantly.
"It's part of it. I can still see his face, and the way he dropped to the floor. I can still feel the weight of the gun in my hands. He was so young,"He whispered.
"Yeah. He was a good kid,"I agreed.
"You can just say it."
"Say what?"I asked.
"That it wasn't my fault and all that klunk,"He sighed.
"This might sound terrible, but I won't. That's your journey and your conclusion to come to. It's not something me or anyone else can force."
"So why can't you sleep?"He asked.
"I'm scared something's going to happen to me in my sleep. I keep thinking something is going to attack me, and if I'm asleep I won't notice until it's too late,"I explained. He didn't say anything.
"You can say it."
"Say what?"
"That we're all safe here, and I have nothing to be scared of."
"No. That's not my place,"He shrugged. After a moment of silence he started talking again. "Is there something wrong with us? Everyone else is okay, and we don't even sleep,"He questioned.
"Maybe. There's no true way to tell, but if there is we can be messed up together,"I said, holding out my hand. He took it and interlocked our fingers.
"I think I'm alright with that,"He said, placing a soft kiss on my lips. It was small, but it made everything okay for that second.
"Yeah. I think I am too."
Aris Jones(WCKD Facility:Movie:Your P.O.V)
This place had always felt off. The second I walked in I knew I couldn't let my guard down. There was only one other person I had shared these thoughts with. After having enough of my suspicions I decided to explore this place. That's when I met Aris. Little did I know he would change everything.
"Where exactly are we going?"The group of boys we were leading asked.
"We're getting you out of here. Just trust us, and keep your head low,"I instructed.
"What do we do if someone finds us?"
"You run, and you fight. You do everything you can to get out of here,"I answered simply.
"That's promising,"Someone mumbled, his voice clearly dripping with sarcasm.
"No. It's realistic,"Aris corrected.
"Well, aren't you two all sunshine and rainbows?"He remarked. I ignored it since there were much more pressing matters to focus on.
"You'll thank us when we escape. Is this the right vent?"I asked Aris. He looked before giving me a nod. I helped him pull it out, still surprised they made it so easy.
One by one we helped everyone out. Once we had Aris was already going back in.
"Where are you going?"I asked.
"I have to do something important, but I'll see you soon,"He assured me. We both knew that might not be the truth, and I refuse to let him leave without him knowing how I truly feel about him.
I cupped his face and brushed my lips against his. He only froze for a second before kissing back. The feeling was everything I could ever want. I'd only there was more time to cherish it.
"Come back to me Aris,"I whispered, pressing my forehead against his.
"Always. I'll see you soon. I promise,"He swore, kissing me one last time before leaving.
I knew I had to believe his words if I wanted the strength to get out of here. I had to trust that he'd come back to me.
(I promise there will be an actual new chapter after the girls first kiss. I've already started writing it.)
