The Irony Of It All

the beginning

I woke up to the sound of knocking at my door. "Layla get up its 9 am your gonna be late" my mother called from the living room. "I'm awake" I said as I rubbed my eyes tiredly. I got up and stretched my aching limbs and went to my dresser to grab an outfit for work. "This will do I guess" i said grabbing a black tank top and dark blue shorts along with my bra and black panties.

I walked out my room and went to the bathroom as my sister walked out looking as tired as me "you looked like you just got hit by a bus" she said smirking. "Yes that's exactly what I was going for" I said rolling my eyes disregarding what Fiona said. I walked into the bathroom and sat my clothing on the sink and took my hair out and undressed getting ready for the shower.

I turned on the water in the shower and got in flinching at the cold water as it slowly warmed up. I quickly washed my body and rinsed my hair before I turned off the fauset and stepped out grabbing a towel. I dried off and put my clothing on and quickly put on makeup and brushed out my tangled red hair. I then brushed my teeth fixed my hair putting it into a low ponytail. I walked out of the bathroom quickly grabbing my things I needed to leave. It was 9:20 I had 10 mins before I had to leave.

I grabbed a apple and my bag and the car keys. "Bye mom I'm heading out. " I said unlocking the door. " be safe dont do anything stupid " my mother said in response. I chuckled at what she said as I went out the door and locked it behind me walking towards my car I got as a present my 17th birthday. I'm currently 19 turning 20 in about 2 months.

I got in my car turned it on and began my drive, I first stopped at my local coffee shop grabbing a iced coffee and went on my way to work.
