Alé

*hiccup* "Hey, where are we going?" Eli asks as he rests his head on the window, looking at all the car lights we drive past. "We're taking Anthony home." I say plainly as I come to a four-way stop, scanning each road.

"Anthonyyyyy." Eli drags out again and I honestly never thought I'd see super drunk Eli, but now that I'm witnessing him like this in real time, it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

"Why the fuck do you keep shouting?" Anthony groans from the backseat as we pull up to a dimly lit neighborhood. "I'm not you are." Eli says mockingly as he sits up straight and slowly walks his fingers over the console until his hand is on my bare thigh.

"You're hot." Eli says plainly as he tries to move his hand up and down lazily. "E, can you please not try and get it on in front of me you fucking horn-dog." Anthony groans again and I can't help but laugh at the both of them.

We slowly pull up to a large modern looking house that I remember from the engagement party. "We're here, come on I'll help you to the front door. You, stay here and don't move." I sternly tell Eli and he just rolls his eyes before trying to fidget with his seatbelt that I had to put on him.

I help Anthony out of the car and help him up the steps until we're in his front porch where he starts fumbling with his keys. His front door unlocks form the inside and a very tired looking Sam appears in the doorway with a blanket wrapped around her body.

"Oh god...Please tell me they didn't get kicked out of the bar." She says as she grabs his hands, trying to help him inside. "No, Anthony called me to pick Eli up but he was way to drunk to drive so I offered to bring him home. If you think he's bad wait till you see my lovely boyfriend." I say as I let out a half-yawn half-chuckle.

"I can only imagine. Well thanks for bringing him home, I owe you big time. Next time you guys need a babysitter or something you know who to call!" She laughs and we say goodbye as she shuts the door and I slowly jog to the car, making sure Eli hasn't thrown up all over my car or tried to run.

"I thought you left me." Eli pouts in his seat as I get back in the car. "I was gone for like a minute, you're fine." I chuckle as he continues pouting like a child.

"So how much did you have to drink?" I ask as I pull out of Anthony and Sam's driveway. "Idon'tknow." Eli mumbles quickly through a hiccup as he slowly turns his head to face me as I continue driving.

"Will you marry me?" Eli asks and I practically smash the brakes, the car coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road. I slowly turn my head to face him and when he's just looking at me through lazy eyelids with gleaming eyes but I'm just going to attribute that to his drinking.

"Elijah, you're so drunk." I nervously chuckle as his eyes narrow, his eyebrows bunching together. "Nooo I'm not." He grumbles as he reaches for my thighs again.

I step on the gas slowly again, and grip the steering wheel tightly, trying not to focus on the little shapes Eli is drawing on my thigh with his fingers.

"You're not going to remember any of this when you wake up tomorrow ." I murmur as I keep my eyes on the road, kind of hoping he really won't remember anything. "Mmm...you're wrong." He says simply as he palms the skin on my thigh.

Somehow drunk Eli is a million times more stubborn than sober Eli which I didn't even think was possible. We approach the apartment building and I carefully park next to where Eli's car would usually be.
