Baking! expect it all goes wrong

After quite the stressful day the lovely Ultimate baker Carl gathers the odd ones of the bunch to cook sweets with him! What could possibly go wrong?

Carl truly only wanted the best for himself and his friends So being thrown in a kill or be killed situation was desirably the last thing on his list of things he wanted and needed

But it's not like the past can be changed and Carl lived by the strong belief that it's important to keep your head up no matter the situation so that's exactly what he did

Problem being that it appears some of his classmates were having issues with that so Carl obviously took it upon himself to cheer them up!

So one by one Carl gathered up the odd ones out of the group to the kitchen as soon as he arrived with the last one he stood straight up and explained his plan

"You want us to bake with you?" There stood the ultimate artist Shaylee quite the quiet individual seemed very standoffish towards the rest of her classmates but Carl believed he could fix that

"Yes of course what better way to bond together" "when did I ever say I wanted to bond with y-" The girl was interrupted by the fiery redhead known as Dani the ultimate Lego fanatic "Oooo what food are we making?"

Carl smiled, good one person for the idea "Cakes, I was thinking since there's relatively easy to make"

Dani nodded in deep thought "Absolutely I'm in!" Without skipping a beat Dani looked at the other two "C'mon guys it'll be fun plus we get free food it's a win-win"

The shortest one Shayla the ultimate music producer who'd been quiet the entire time nodded in agreement "food sounds nice... Though I'm a bit of a bad cook"

"That's a-okay! Everyone starts somewhere!"

Shayla let out a small smiled before shaylee sighed "I'm not getting out of this am I?" When the group remained silent shaylee shrugged "Fine"

And so the project began they were spilt into two teams so it wouldn't be as much of a mess Carl and Dani and Shaylee and Shayla (they seemed to find great humor in the fact that their names borh start with Shay)

Carl checked over the list of ingredients when he noticed he forgot something and that was Flour he gave a small frown "Hey can one of you guys go grab Flour from the pantry two bags should be enough"

When it became clear that no one else would Shaylee got up and walked outside the kitchen towards where the pantry was

After around 12 minutes had passed Shaylee returned with the flour and a slightly beat red face "Ah shaylee you're back!" Carl smiled

"Your face is red are you okay?" Shayla gently asked shaylee places the flour down and waved her hand dismissively "Just ran into Tanner and Mateo"

Ah yes two of their other classmates seemed to be constantly at each other's and everyone elses throats all the time pretty rude bunch Carl would've invited them but he figured the group wouldn't have worked out as well if they were here

Shayla had a small frown on his face "Those two? I'm sorry, did they say anything to you? If so I can beat them up if you'd like" The small image of Shayla attempting to beat up two tall and good shaped athletes crossed Carl's mind and he let out a chuckle

"Nah I'm good and also stay in your lane if anyone's gonna beat someone up it's me!" Shaylee said with the confidence of a middle schooler who just got challenged to their first fight

After that whole issue was sorted the baking finally began Carl admitted Dani was a very good teammate though she kept going on about something called Ninjago and Five nights at Freddy's? (Lego stuff he guessed) But he truly enjoyed listening (Though those guys in Ninjago sounded as though they may need some form of mental help)

as they were icing their cake (Dani insisted on red and black for some reason) They heard a small yelp from across the room the both looked up and saw Shaylee and Shayla whispering to each other while blocking what carl hoped was their cake and not a mouse or something (This school seems quite low budget)

Carl and Dani walked over "is everything okay you two?" Shayla let out a small chuckle "Um... Shaylee and I may have added a bit much on the ingredients" Shayla thought on those words for a moment "Okay shaylee may have added a bit much-" he was cut off from a snack from the taller "Ow!" Exclaimed the shorter "Don't pin this all on me!" Yelled the artist

Carl tilted his head to see their cake and it was........ Something! A stack of nearly black things in the shape of a cake stood before them Dani bursted out laughing at the sight of it while Shayla after recovering from getting smacked cautiously poked it "Uh it's not that bad.....It's just a little bit crispy Shaylee!" shaylee looked like she wanted to melt "A little bit?" She said in a deadpanned tone while the music producer next to her nodded clearly choking down a laugh

"Maybe add some icing to it?" Dani suggested through her fit of laughter "Oooo! Yeah let's add icing shaylee what colors should we do? Maybe..." The shorters voice got drowned out as he began excitedly taking to his partner

Carl smiled this plan had been a success! Shaylee and Shayla were bonding and so we're himself and Dani and they were making delicious (?) Sweets for their classmates and themselves to enjoy

Eventually the cake got iced it didn't look as bad now "Remind me to never let you hear another sharp object you nearly took out your own eye like a billion times" Shaylee said with a scoff

Carl fully understood where the artist was coming from despite being quiet the music producer seemed a bit to happy to have something sharp (they couldn't find any of the proper things to ice the cakes so they used butter knifes) but the new rule made Shayla put on a fake hurt face "Whaaaaaaat how could you not trust me id never hurt a fly"

The artist gave a "Mm-hm" type of look and gradually snatched the knife from the shorter which caused him to try and reach it which just turned into a slightly dangerous game of trying to knock shaylee over to get the knife

All In all the baking get together was a success Everyone really enjoyed the cake! And if later on after dinner when the cake was severed if Carl so happened to notice the artist and music producer of their small baking group slip Mateo and tanner (Who were glaring at Shaylee all through dinner which did spark some cuiroustity of what happened in the pantry) some of the iced burnt cake who was he to say anything?
