Long lost mafia princess

Chapter One:

*Flashback to 14 years ago:*
Vincent's POV:

It all happened so fast! Today was supposed to be a peaceful day, but it turned into chaos and carnage!
My greatest enemy attacked my mansion and tried to kill me and my family, I quickly ran to the back bedroom where my wife, four son's and young daughter was hiding! I called to my wife panickly

"Lucina?! Darling quickly come with me, We NEED to get both you and the kids outta here NOW!"

She nodded and hurried towards me, with my young three-year-old daughter, Ciana-Rose in her arms and my four sons:
Lorenzo, Ashton, Sorin and Jesse trailing behind her, I took her hand and helped her run out the back room and into my study, once inside my study I shut the doors behind us and locked it, then I rushed over to the door leading outside and locked it behind us.

I then turned to see, Lucina and my four sons busy trying to sooth little Ciana-Rose...
she was crying her eyes out and was so scared about what was going on...

My heart ached for her, I walked over and lifted her up and held her in my arms and kissed her cheek gently, she stopped crying and nuzzled her head against my chest and closed her eyes slowly...
Lucina then stroked our daughters head as she says softly

"Darling? I hate to say this and it hurts me alot to say this but...Ciana is too young to be apart of this world, she is vunerable...we are lucky that your enemy doesn't know of her existance yet and I want to keep it that way...maybe we should send her away for her safety..."

Her words hit me hard, she wanted to send our only daughter away?!?

"You mean give her away?!?!"
I snapped at her, Lucina flinched slightly at my yelling...that was when my eldest son, eleven-year-old Lorenzo stepped in saying to me

"But Papa? Mama is right, we need to protect sissy and if that means sending her away so she isn't involved in this mess, then it might be for the best..."
Lucina and I looked at him sadly and I said

"I understand how you think son, I know that you and your brothers love your sister more than anyone in this world but I don't want to loose her...but If you all think it's for the best, then I will go along with it, but only because when this mess is all cleared up, I will search for her and bring her back to us..."

My eldest nodded and replied "Okay Papa..."
before walking back to my wife...
Lucina smiled and caressed Ciana's back as she slept in my arms before saying

"Vincent, darling...you know it's for the best...don't worry, when this mess is all cleaned up, We will find her and bring her back, but for now sending her away is our best chance for her safety..."

She wiped my tears from the corner of my eye as she spoke. "Yes..." I whispered...

We stayed together in silence until the time came when I asked one of my men to take Ciana-Rose far away and to a good home to live her life safely, I hated that I had to do that but it was for her safety and to make sure that to our enemies that she remains as if she never existed...

I also did it to protect Ciana, I could feel how much Ciana meant to me and I knew that it would hurt me if she were taken from me...

the man took Ciana from our arms and walked towards the back door, after he had reached the entrance, He turned around and stared directly at me and said

"My lord and Lady Callanstino...I assure you that for her safety, I will drop her off in a safe place then terminate myself to make sure enemies don't find out about her..."

I nodded my head and watched him leave with my daughter, it shattered my heart but this was her best chance at remaining safe and hidden...but I vowed that I will find her again and bring her home once all the mess and chaos was cleared up...
