Chapter Eleven: I Love You

"We're almost there." Randy manages to huff out.

By this point, we had been running for almost ten minutes.

My legs were burning and my heartbeat only sped up.

My mind was a mess, thoughts scattered everywhere. 

As we turn the corner I could see the police station and began to speed up.

Once I got close enough I stopped running and stood there waiting for Randy to catch up.

"Never.. doing... that again." Randy says taking a breath between each word.

Without saying anything back, I walk up to the doors and open them.

"Let's go." I say holding the door open for Randy.

He hesitates a bit before speed-walking over.

As we step inside I hear yelling.

I grab Randy's arm and we begin walking towards the voices.

"Y/n, maybe we should wait here."

I quickly shake my head turning to face him. "No, I need to see Billy now."

Randy opens his mouth to say something but was interrupted by someone calling my name.

I spin back around to see Sidney coming over.

"Randy, you promised!"

This was the first time I've ever seen her pissed.

Randy puts his hands up. "Sidney, she deserved to know."

I scoff. "At least someone had the guts to say something."

"Y/n you shouldn't be here right now." Sidney frowns, crossing her arms.

"Randy said he wouldn't talk unless I was here." 

"Well he looks like he's had enough, he might start talking soon."

I furrow my eyebrows. "God, Sidney..."

Without letting her say anything else I walk past her and more towards the back, where I could see about six cops standing in a half circle.

I quickly go over to them. "Ahem, uh excuse me?"

Some of them move and I could see Billy sitting down, he looked so sad.

My heart broke a bit. Oh, my sweet boy.

I frown as we locked eyes.

"Miss, you can't be back here."

"Y/n? You really came?" Billy perks up.

I sadly smile at him, starting to walk towards them.

One of the police officers wastes no time stopping me though.

"If you make her leave, you aren't getting anything out of me." Billy says looking over at who I'm guessing was the chief.

The older man waves the other police away. "Give 'em a few minutes."

They all begin to walk away but the older man bends down whispering to Billy before tipping his hat at me and walking away.

I sigh and bend down in front of Billy. "How did this happen?" 

He lets out a soft chuckle but I could easily tell how nervous the poor boy was.

"I would hug you, but..." He turns a bit to show me that his hands were cuffed behind him.

"Oh, Billy." I frown.

I place my hand on his leg. "What do we do now?"

He shrugs. "I don't know what's gonna happen, but regardless they have no evidence, I know they don't."
