"Are you sure about this?" Carmello asked for the twentieth time.
"Am fine. Leave and go have some mega fun." Sera insisted pushing him towards the front door of their apartment.
"If anything happens...."
"Immediately call me up." She finished for him. "I know. Now leave and be back soon. I am yet to give you your birthday gift, husband."
"Am serious, call me up. Looking forward to it, wife." Carmello smiled, kissing her forehead lovingly.
Sera had been sick for the past two weeks. She couldn't hold down any food and she was quite moody. What scared her most was that she was craving peanuts of all things. She hated peanuts with strong passion. Something was wrong with her and she couldn't comprehend on what it was. She woke up in the middle of the night craving for raw mangoes.
Twice in two weeks.
She was so persistent that Carmello had to leave to get them for her at almost two in the morning. All she wanted this past two weeks was sleep and sleep alone. Carmello had to literally dress her and drag to university. When Carmello insisted they see a doctor when she threw up while drinking coffee was when it hit her.
