Today was a brand new week so we all sat on the floor for the pyramid while the moms stood off to the side.

"Phoenix was rough. You guys got your butts kicked. Here in Pittsburgh, you have won everything, but it's clearly a different story when you get on a plane and fly across the country. For years I took kids by myself. I made sure their hair was right, I made sure the makeup was right, and I put the headpiece on. All the mothers want to go now because they are reliving their childhood through all of you, and that's when the trouble happens. I am the leader, I am the teacher. You do what I say. When your mother's telling you something else to do that becomes a conflict. Do you understand that?" Ms. Abby told us before turning to Nia

"Now, Nia, how do you think you did?" Ms. Abby asked her

"Well, I think we could have improved," Nia told her looking at the floor

"What do you need to improve?" she asked her

"Pointing my feet," Nia says shyly. I think Nia is a talented dancer she just hasn't been pushed yet

"Yeah. Very sloppy, the feet, the legs, the shoulders, your arms. The same mistakes over and over and over, and that pulls the group down" Ms. Abby told Nia before moving on to Chloe

"Chloe, the headband was bad. Next time what are you gonna do?" Ms. Abby asks her.

I mean if anything Chloe should be at the top with me because she continued dancing and even did a side aerial blindfolded.

"Make sure my headpiece stays on," Chloe told her

"Could you have prevented that? Yes," Ms. Abby said as Chloe nods her head

"Okay, the new number will be called "Electricity. Everybody say that" Ms. Abby told us

"Electricity," We all said. I'm pretty sure we can all say it, well probably not Mackenzie, but she'll learn

"Makayla and Maddie because you were great this weekend, you guys didn't give me any trouble, and your mother didn't give me any trouble. Maddie, you're gonna be in the front and in the center for the beginning of the routine before switching with your sister" Ms. Abby tells us.

Ms. Abby says that I have an advantage in being in the front and center for group dances because I'm short. Maddie is eight and she's already up to my shoulders.
