"BLAST! Above us, the Allies were bombing the mountains and the bridge. A bomb hit the tracks up ahead - if we stayed on the train, we were going down with it... So we jumped! Down we went, and SPLASH! into the river below. At last, we were safe."

Henri stared, blinking back up at him, hanging tight onto every single one of his words as if her life depended on it. "But, the Dial!"

Granddad smirked.  "What about the Dial?"

"He took it, the bad Nazi!"

His smirk grew wider. "No, he thought he took it. I  took it."

Her entire face lit up with the most glowing of smiles. "Yes! Oh yes! You're a hero, Granddad!"

His smile now fell. "I don't know about that, Kid."

"Yes you are! Because I say so!"

"All right then."

"And when I grow up, I want to be just like you and go on adventures, and find treasure, and punch the bad guys!" She scrunched up her face and threw a few punches in the air with her little balled-up fists.

Indy sighed.  "Careful what you wish for, Kid."
