A Phantasy Script Part 8

Start from the beginning

Berd: So, traps first Jokes?

G.M: I would agree with that, Berd.

Jokesum: Yes. Traps, of the freezing variety, will help.

With a nod of his head, Berd walks into the room. Followed by Jokesum. Unpacking 6 frozen traps each, while more enemies spawn within the room, Jokesum and Berd set up a fool-proof way of clearing the enemies Berd begins to walk out of the room, though Jokesums remains within the centre. Turning around, after leaving the room, Berd sees Jokesum just standing in the centre as the Arlans and Merlans begin slashing at him. He doesn't move.

G.M: Jokesum! What are you doing?

Berd: Dude! Get out of there!

F.N: Wait! He's taunting them to hit him somehow!

Suddenly, all 12 freezing traps activate and the entire room is filled with enemies paused in motion. Jokesum smiles, he is unhurt.

Jokesum: They are lower leveled than expected. Didn't even get through my natural shield.

Berd notices Jokesums Vol Opt Heart has activated.

Berd: Well, Vol Opt saved you, my dude. Natural shield? Well, I guess it is natural now.

G.M: You played a risky game there, Jokesum.

The three other teammates rejoin Jokesum, then begin attacking each enemy. Most enemies being harder to kill than Jokesum had thought, almost the entire room is cleared until there is but one enemy left. The Monest sitting in the corner, that then activates again after receiving damage while frozen. It beings to collapse one of it's vine and falls to the floor, almost breathing heavily as it lays upon the floor. A Mothmant is produced from the Monest and begins to fly around.

F.N: Oh, so it is a Monest with almost unlimited Mothmants?

Jokesum: It would appear so. Be careful, they can poison you.

With a sudden swipe of his Kladabolg, a deep red sword, General Mood takes the Mothmant out quickly.

Berd: Well, they seem too easy to kill. What's the deal, the other enemies were tougher.

G.M: Most likely the leveling messing with them being easier than the rest.

A few Rag Rappys, a mostly yellow with white bellied bird, seemed to then "wake up" after being knocked out.

F.N: No you don't Rappy! RAFOIE!

With his fire technique called out, Fylec engulfs all of the awakened Rag Rappys. Hitting each one, they all then drop loot from themselves and run off and away out of the room.

Jokesum: Okay, RED BOX!

G.M: Would it be Fylec's sigil?

Berd: Most likely, seeing as though he did the final attack.

F.N: OH! The throwing cards!

After having picked up the Red Box, Fylec shows his team the new item within his hands. A, seemingly, normal deck of cards. Though, once activated magically, card be thrown at enemies and cause more damage than just a paper cut.

Jokesum: Fantastic find for you, Fylec. Though, we will need to find you a proper Mag that can boost your Magic.

G.M: Lucky indeed!

Berd: The Meseta was like being in the Forest in a lower level. So, we should really be looking for boxes. I guess.

F.N: Not going to lie, I'm pleased as a pickled pickle! First Magic style weapon that I've gotten.

Picking up a few Monomates and Monofluids, the two types of items being for Health and Magic regeneration, the team then push on through a maze style room that has column traps and hidden floating traps. Thankfully, as Jokesum is at the front of the group, all floating traps are destroyed without need to worry. Then finding themselves within a room with 2 doors, to the South and East, a centre raised stage area, Rappys begin to drop down into the room again. Though one is slightly different to the rest.
