a young boy with beautiful white hair was kneeling infront of a woman with beautiful wavy blonde hair flowers adorning her hair.
"lady diana lady diana!- i m-mean mother! mother!" he beamed at her as he had sweat drop on the side of his face
"it's okay prince athanasius you can always call me lady diana!" she giggled at the young boys mistake
the young boy shook his head " what are you saying?? i can't do that to you..!you've.. always been kind to me..you've treated me like i've always been your own son..you are my mother!" he admitted to her
diana smiled at athanasius and ruffled his hair "me and the baby are really happy that you visited us today my prince.." she whispered loud enough for him to hear as she smiled
he then directed his gaze to her growing belly and placed both his hands on either side as he laid his head on her stomach "i wonder when the baby will come out..i'm really excited mother." he smiled at her
diana then placed a finger on her chin "i suppose in the winter don't you think?" she asked
he lifted his head up as his eyes lit up "in winter when it's snowing.." he breathed out as he looked up at her
diana's rose colored eyes met his blue jeweled ones "my prince..will you still take care of this baby? even if i leave?.." she asked out of the blue
he tilted his head in confusion "where are you going mother?" he'd asked her
she smiled sadly "after i have this baby..i won't be around anymore." she said with tears in her eyes
athanasius's eyes widened as he suddenly gripped one of her hands"w-why?! you said..y-you said you'd take care of me forever! and that you'd be with me when i'd become emperor!..a-are you saying that was a lie?!" he said as his jeweled hues were filled with hope
she felt a tear run down her face "im sorry athanasius..im so sorry but i want this baby to have a happy future..i want this baby to be happy with you and his majesty if it can't with me." she looked at him
athanasius stood up and released her hand in disappointment "you lied to me...you promised that you would do what my real mother couldn't!" he cried
diana stood up from the chair and hugged him as tight as she could "it's not a lie..i will still be by your side when that day happens..i will see a future of you and my baby together side by side when that day happens." she smiled at him
she then wiped his tears and grabbed his hands as she looked down at him "so will you promise me? that you'll protect and take care of this baby and always be on their side no matter what happens?" she asked him
he hung his head low and nodded "i promise mother..i will take care of my sibling for as long as i live."
he then bit his lip as he looked up and felt tears build up in his eyes again "i-i will do my best to get my father to accept the baby as well no matter what it takes"
diana felt her eyes lit up and smiled at the boy and closed her eyes as she hugged him "my baby is really lucky to have you as an older brother prince athanasius so incredibly lucky."
he gave a small smile "i hope they love me just as much as i love them already." he then patted her stomach
"please come out soon my sibling..i've been waiting to meet you." he whispered to her stomach
diana smiled and laughed enjoying and savoring the moment
"i'm ready to meet you too my baby.." she whispered to herself

months then passed by as athanasius continued with his regular duties as crown prince of obelia.
he had been sitting in a table outside of the garden with his nanny ariella drinking tea and eating cookies she'd made him.
"nanny..i want to see mother is she alright? i haven't heard from her in kind of awhile ..and that's not so normal. don't you think so too?" he grumbled as he stared out into space with tea in his hand
ariella tilted her head to the side "well prince..lady diana must be aware that you've grown busy as well and hasn't had time to see you y'know?" she beamed
he nodded his head "i see well shall we go see mother? and—" he then stopped speaking as he took notice of a maid running into where they were as she had sweat dripping all over her face
"l-lady diana has given birth and! a-and!his majesty the emperor..has gone crazy and killed everyone in the ruby palace! when he figured out that lady diana..didn't make it through childbirth." she spoke as she took deep breaths
athanasius dropped his tea glass on the table as he got up and ran to ruby palace.
"p-prince please wait!-" ariella and the maid yelled
tears built up in his eyes but he quickly wiped them away quickly running to where his father and mother had been.
"not yet..please let this all be a horrible dream."
"y-you can't leave me alone here in this terrible world mother.." he muttered
