Lord Enma; 'Workplace Escape'

"Enma... are you sure you can carry those..?" He dismissed you, "Of course I can, [Your Yo-kai Name]!" You looked at him worriedly once more. "But... you have so many bags on you, won't you get tired? What if you buy more stuff?" Lord Enma sighed, then chuckled a bit. "You aren't gonna let this go, are you?" He handed you half of the bags for you to hold. You gratefully held them. As you two reached the second floor, Lord Enma pulled out his phone. "Alright, so what's in here... there's clothes... oh, games are here... Oh! There's a toy shop. They sell plushies and figurines there. I think you might like it." He said as he turned to you. You thought for a moment, 'Those sound like a nice souvenir to bring back home...' You nodded, "Alright, let's go then."

As you entered the toy shop, your eyes immediately landed on the plushie section. So many characters were displayed. There were animals as well. All were so cute... so cuddly... so enticing...

You dropped the bags ran towards the section. Lord Enma picked the bags you dropped and hurriedly trailed behind. "[Your Yo-kai Name], why did you ran?" He had a confusing look on, he had never seen you this excited before. Usually, you would have a neutral face, or an annoyed one back at the palace. You slowly turned around, slightly nervous as you never reacted this way. "...I think I like them." You finally answered. After processing your statement, Lord Enma's face was ecstatic. "Really!? You found something you like!? Then... we'll get the biggest one! No... we'll buy all of them-" You placed your hand onto his mouth to shut him up. You can feel your face fuming in [Blush Color], "...let's just go check it out first before we buy anything... and before we cause a scene.." You whispered the last part. Lord Enma hummed in agreement as your hand was still on your face.

The two of you looked around, seeing if any plush was to your taste. You picked up a plushie of a fiery red cat, it had an angry yet smirking face. "Reminds me of Enma..." You said to yourself. Maybe you'll buy it for him.

"[Your Yo-kai Name]!"

You heard Lord Enma shout. You immediately placed the cat back, promising yourself you'll buy it later. You saw him with three plushies in his arms. One was a white cat that wore a red bow, and it didn't have a mouth. The other two looked sort of similar. One was wearing a pink bunny hood with a flower, while the other had a black jester hat with a pink skull in the middle of the hat. He held up the plushies in your face, "Look what I found! I really think you'll like them." As you took the plushies from his arms and had a closer inpection...

You pointed at the random direction. "Hey, Enma. Can you check out that area over there? I'm just gonna check the plushies out, okay?" Lord Enma pulled out his wallet, "Alright then. Here." He then left to the direction you pointed out. You let out a breath, then grabbed the plushie you were going to gift Lord Enma. You ran up to the checking desk, placing the plushies on top. "I would like to purchase these." You said somewhat urgently. The cashier checked out everything and you paid the amount needed. With Lord Enma's money. You hoped the plushie would make him happy. You ran back to where he was, your footsteps alerted him. "Oh, [Your Yo-kai Name]! I couldn't find anything of interest here.." You pulled out the fiery red cat plush and showed him off.

"Merry Christmas."

"What?"

"I got you a gift." You proudly said as you showed off the cat. "It's for you." Lord Enma stared at you and the plushie for a while, making you a bit nervous. Did he not like your gift? Of course he didn't! He must've enjoyed something expensive! You spent his own money for nothing-

"I LOVE IT!" He shouted as he picked you up in a hug. Your doubts washed away and been replaced with happiness and pride. Lord Enma placed you back down and held the plushies you gifted him. "One of the best gifts I've ever been given, I'll make sure it's always in good condition." He said as he patted your head. You smiled from the compliment, but immediately hid your face within the plushies. Lord Enma chuckled, he was happy that you were able to have a day's break. The both of you had left the toy shop and went down the escalator.

"Enma, where are we going now?" You asked confusingly. You already got your souvenir, where else do we need to go? "It's our last stop, I promise." He said as he took you to a food shop. "Ice.. cream..." You said slowly. "What's that?" Maybe it was a dessert? It seems sweet as you looked at the signs. You never really got to eat food in the yo-kai world since Zazel prevents you from leaving the palace. "It a treat from the human world! It's also in the yo-kai world too." Lord Enma soon took you to a table. "Sit here, I'll go buy us some." You sat on a chair as he left to go order some ice cream.

After a while, Lord Enma came back. He handed you a cone, "Here! Try it." You took the cone. It took you a while to actually try it, but you soon took one lick. You immediately fell in love with it. The texture! The sweetness! You began to eat it more. Lord Enma chuckled at your reaction before he ate his.

"That was so good!" You said happily. Lord Enma smiled, "Yes, human delicacies are interesting! I wonder how they even come up with it." As the two of you talked about the ice cream, you didn't notice a familiar figure coming up to you.

"My lord. [Your Yo-kai Name]."

The both of your froze in place. You looked up to see your brother in a human form! His skin was pale instead of grey and his hair was black instead of white! Instead of his usual attire, he's wearing a black kimono with white wispy designs. But what stayed the same was his glare whenever he's upset. His eyes turned to you, "I went to check up you in your office as you were stressed lately. Only to see that you were gone." His eyes now turned towards Lord Enma. "Then I tried to look for you, only for your office to be empty. With a note that said you had an emergency meeting. But I never received such news." His face soon scrunched up, "So, why are the two of you out of the palace." His tone was very livid. "Uhh... I got you a gift for being the best big brother..!" You made up as you held one of the plushies that you now know is 'Kuromi.' Zazel's stature slightly faltered from your statement, his heart was struck from your adorableness. But nonetheless he had to stand firm. As your plan didn't work, Lord Enma grabbed you and ran across the mall. As you two ran, Zazel immediately chased the both of you down. This went on for a while, until all of you were caught by security and were kicked out. Leaving Zazel with a chance.

The both of you were taken back to the palace and you were grounded for the next week. The both of you had to have supervision, which was Zazel, 24/7 much to your dismay. But the worse part was you didn't get your favorite dinner.
