It's been 7 years since Harry and Flora moved to the USA where Flora learned to be a lawyer, become a mother again while dating a new firefighter of the 118. Los Angeles was struck by a heat wave from a slow building earthquake, It was the weekend so Flora took the boys to see family at 118 with Buck who started to brag to Bobby and Hen about his DXA scan to which they looked lost.
"I got another DXA scan and guess who dropped another half percent" Buck bragged
"What?" Hen asked
"A DXA scan measures your body fat, you can see your percentage in every part of your body" Buck explained
"Oh yeah, can they measure the fat in your head" Chimney said
"Ah, see, that would be funny but we're about a week away from submissions being due for the hot days, smolding nights of the LAFD wall calendar and I'm already at my goal weight, so it seems like my head is clearly working perfectly" Buck replied
Hen and Flora rolled our eyes as Chimney made a joke about Buck's head leading them to talk about the LAFD calendar photo, as he needs to get in shape for the matter. Hen disparages the event's misogynist theme and long title.
"Do you really need to use that whole title? you could just say 'that idiotic, reductive, sexist calendar that insults the dignity of this organization and furthers the myth that all firefighters are male" Hen said
"She is not wrong there Buck" Flora said
The guys looked at each other while the kids laugh at their family's faces and what Hen said which got a reply from Buck.
"Yeah, that's not any less words" Buck said
"Hen, come on, it's for charity" Bobby said
"No. Bobby, you, too?" shocked Hen
"Well, why not? they say a man is at his sexiest when he reaches 50" Bobby said
"Is that what they say? That's what they say?" Hen asked
"Okay you're both wrong all right? you see, I think sorority houses all across this great nation are ready for a new Asian sex symbol it's our time" Chimney said
"I think it's great you know? I like that you're both going up for it" Buck said
As they talked more about the chance of being in the calendar while the kids watch until Chimney spots the newbie as did Flora but Chimney said something to make everyone look.
"Okay that is a beautiful man" Chimney said
"He's not wrong there" Flora replied
"Where's the lie and I like girls" Hen said
Everyone looked at the guy while buck was becoming jealous as he tried to get Flora to stop looking at the newbie.
"Who the hell is that?" Buck asked
"It's Eddie Diaz. New recruit graduated top of his class just this week, Guys over at station six were dying to have him, but I convinced him to join us" Bobby answered
"What do we need him for? Um..."Buck asked
Everyone laughed as Bobby gave a few more facts that Eddie is a combat medic formerly deployed to Afghanistan and was awarded a silver star for saving his troops, but that was enough for the boys (Harry and Percy) to run over and ask Eddie questions but Bobby stop them when he and everyone went over as Flora stayed with Buck.
"Come on, I'll introduce you to him. he likes to be called Eight Pack." Bobby said
"Wow Silver star" Hen said
