"Good evening," he said.
She lifted her gaze from the menu and smiled at him.
"Good evening,"
"Sorry I was a few minutes late, I stopped to get you these on the way here," he said handing her the bouquet.
"Thank you they're beautiful," she replied.
The truth was she had never been given flowers before. He had been the first man to do so, but she was not going to tell him that.
"I'm Edward, Edward Cullen," he said extending his hand.
"Isabel...Bella Swan," she replied shaking his hand firmly.
An electric current ran through them when their hands touched.
"Nice to meet you, Bella," he replied.
"You need a new mare?" Bella asked.
"I do," he said.
"Hold old are you again?" She asked him.
"Thirty-five," Edward replied.
"And you are?" he asked her.
"Twenty-one," she said.
"What happened to your other mares? Everyone knows you first married Jessica and a few years later married Tanya," she mentioned.
"Nothing happened to them, they're still my wives, they're just not my mares," he said.
"Do they know about this meeting? How do they feel about it?" She asked with genuine curiosity.
"Tanya is okay with it, Jessica not so much," he pointed out.
"Is Jessica going to be a problem?" Bella inquired.
"I have no idea, but she knows her place," he replied.
"You have three daughters," she stated.
"Yes, Eduarda and the twins Eliza and Eden," he smiled. He loved his daughters above all.
"All names with E?" she giggled.
"It runs in the family, my siblings and I all have names that start with E," he smiled too.
"You and your eleven siblings right," she stated.
"Yes, I'm the third out of the twelve," Edward replied taking a swing of his wine.
"You have sisters right?" she asked.
"I have four," he stated.
They joked around, he noticed she had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. After that, they talked about their likes and dislikes and noticed how much they had in common. Isabella had gone to college and studied business law. She was not only beautiful, but she was also smart. Tanya had also gone to college; she is a nurse practitioner. Well, she has the degree but has not worked per se as she's just been taking care of Edward and their daughters.
