It may take one to plant a rose
But it takes two to care for her as she grows
The rose grew and grew, until done
She thinks she has finally won
But with nobody to contest
The rose is forced to test
Her strength against a seemingly minuscule seed
Who eventually grows into a formidable weed
The rose bravely takes the weed on
Only to be choked and choked until gone
The caregivers of the rose take a final stand
Until one gives up and releases the other's hand
The one who was left behind attempts to amend
Only to slip up again and again to no end
Mistake after mistake, lie after lie
All one can do is watch one's world die
It may take one to question the late romance
But it takes two to answer with a definite stance
Was it sweet or sour?
A weed or a flower?
The dishonest one has one more lie
Being honest of one's feelings is all one could try
While it may take one to let everything pour
It takes two to plant and care for a rose once more
