Chapter 1- Draco, my first and best friend

Y/N POV:

I felt the last strains of my wonderful sleep wear off. Sunlight shown through my large room and I yawned, opening my eyes.

Suddenly, I remembered. We're going to visit the Malfoys!

"YAY!" I yelled and danced with my magical puppy Alpha, who yipped and wagged her tail.

Every once in a while, my mum and dad would visit their close friends, who lived in a humongous castle that we called the "Malfoy Manor". I always thought that it's really cool to have an entire palace named after you!

Anyways, Mum would make me behave and dress me in a nice dress while they would sit in the sunshine and talk about life, children, and THE FAMOUS HOGWARTS. 

"It's the best school in the entire ENGLAND!! It's very good and humongous, larger than our house and the Malfoy Manor combined!"

As Y/n L/n, I wanted some friends, as I didn't have many (or so far any, at all). Mum and Dad said that I would get lots and lots of friends, but being only 9, no one was around my age at least in this neighborhood. I jumped out of my comfy princess bed and walked to my private bathroom to comb my hair. I ever so hated it when it came out tangly and icky, not at all fresh and clean. 

As I brushed my h/c h/l hair, I thought about Draco Malfoy. He was just my age and had blonde hair. He was skinny and shy at first, and I think liked talking to me. Myself being shy, I didn't try to make small talk but I hoped we would be best friends. So far, we could start talking about stuff though. Mostly because adult blabber was SO BORING and I couldn't understand half of the time.

We were both homeschooled and didn't have tons of friends so we liked each other's company. Sometimes we would laugh, but he kept telling me how we would be friends with the FAMOUS HARRY POTTER. That sounded really fun to me, but Draco really wanted to friend him. 

After a while after we met, we became very good friends. I called him mostly Dray or Dragon (sometimes Dragon boy). He liked to call me n/n, which sounded sweet. 

"Do you promise, pinky promise, that we will be best friends forever? That you can be my best girl friend and I'll be your best boy friend."

"Yeah, I pinky promise!"

At that time I didn't know what that actually meant, and neither did he, but it sounded very nice to us.

Sometimes we would run in the large backyard of his house, filled with sweet flowers and large trees and even a swing. We liked pushing each other, and even sometimes used magic to do all sorts of fun stuff like flying off and growing wings, making glitter appear, and enlarging birds so we could ride them.

I went downstairs to eat some breakfast and my mum picked me a nice summer dress. Soon, we apparated straight into their fireplace. I always thought that was really funny, but was scared at the smoke when I was smaller. 

"Boo, Draco!! It is me, Ghost Y/n L/n coming to haunt you!!"

Draco greeted me and we went outside to play while our parents chatted. We talked about how we wanted to really wanted to be in Slytherin. I also showed him how I could turn invisible, and even levitate as well has run super fast. Strangely, he couldn't, but enchanted a rose to make different shapes like stars and maple leaves.

We both snuck into the kitchen to steal some cookies and peach juice, which was very refreshing. I don't think either of our mums caught us, but it was really fun.

Draco then told me all about Hogwarts, and Diagon Ally, and all sorts of pets and supplies. I guess he was really excited about Hogwarts in two years. I mean, I was too, but my parents never really told me anything! I think I liked my magical puppy Alpha more, though, because she could fly, run at the speed of light, and do funny tricks on her own.

Soon, we had lunch together in the Manor, and in the afternoon, Draco showed me around the house. We ended up belly-flopping on his large bed and pillow-fighting after a while. I was really sad when we had to leave because I wanted to play with Draco more. 

Maybe next time, though, and I hope we are the best friends ever!
