There's no way I could keep running for long, I would eventually reach the secured exit door and I would be drugged and taken back to my room. I couldn't help but try, I was sick and tired of being trapped in this hell hole. I have no idea how long I've been in here but I can tell it's been a while, my hair has grown longer and the headaches have worsened. I could hear their shoes squeaking behind me, they were getting faster, or I was getting slower.

"You're okay," a beautiful blond man stood before me. His skin like ice against my already freezing skin. His eyes were the most beautiful golden caramel color.

I wished I could write about it in my journal before the drugs would make me forget."who are you?" I asked quickly before turning to see how far away the nurses were. They had to be getting close now. My eyes caught a pool of blood on the freshly bleached tiles beneath my bare feet.

I watched blood trickle down my arm, I ripped open my stitches again."I'm Dr. Cullen. I'm going to help you, okay?'' My eyes searched him up and down, did he honestly think I was going to trust him?

He gave me a polite smile, "Elizabeth. Everything's going to be okay." I could feel them getting closer. Their irritated sighs and heavy feet. I couldn't help but cry, as much as I tried to fight it. I didn't attempt to wipe at my eyes, instead I moved the hair out of my eyes. Looking straight into Dr. Cullen's eyes as the head nurse Roberta grabbed my shoulder.

"Please, don't! Please, I'll be better I promise. Please don't. Ouch!" I felt the familiar sting of the needle as it entered my arm."Don't hurt her, okay? She's just scared. Take her back to her room please. I'll finish her stitch-"Everything faded around me.Everything was black.

My head was pounding and I could barely make out the voices in the background, "I'm going to take her home with me and you are not going to alert the authorities..."

Was he talking to me? I slowly opened my eyes and they started burning. I tried to shield the light from my eyes, but pain burned up my arm. The lights were quickly dimmed and everything was silent. No buzzing from the florescent lights, not shoes scraping the floor, no fighting in the hallways.

His voice was soft, "how are you feeling?"

My eyes caught his."Dr. Cullen, right?"

He nodded, "I fixed your stitches. They should heal nicely as long as you don't use your arm too much." I looked down at my arm, which was now wrapped in ugly white gauze and I looked up at Dr. Cullen. His eyes said he officially labeled me as a suicide victim, but he didn't say anything.

"Thank you," my voice was strained and came out as a whisper now. Was I losing my voice? My eyes began feeling tired and my neck started throbbing.

It was stupid to think I might have an ally, a friend, in this hell hole, "did you drug me?"

He let out a polite chuckle, "it's to help you sleep. I know you haven't slept in days. It's a long drive back to my house. You can sleep on the way."

Just when I started to ask him who the hell he thought he was, my tongue became swollen in my mouth and my jaw seemed unwilling to move. He picked my up from the hard metal table I was on and carefully avoided my arm. There was a flash of light as my eyelids began to weigh more, a car door opened and I was buckled safely into the backseat. As much as I tried to fight it, I couldn't fight anymore.

The darkness consumed me.
