Imlie's Pov Everyone are congratulating me. No not for any success party but because it's my wedding day.
Now I'm sitting in the mandap with a complete stranger besides me.
He took the holy vermilion and put it on my head. Then placed the nuptial chain on my neck. Now we stood up for the seven pheras. We stood up and he started walking in front of me. After 4 pheras I took the lead and completed the remaining 3 pheras. And finally the wedding is done.
I could clearly see the happiness and joy in my Amma and dadda's eyes but no-one could see the sorrow in my eyes. Why? - because I just get out of a toxic relationship. Reason? - because I thought there was love, but that was just an illusion. I thought I'm important but their egos were a step ahead. I was hurt, crushed, bruised.
*Sigh* BTW that door is already closed for me.
So now I'm IMLIE ARYAN SINGH RATHORE.
Amma said I will eventually get settled here.
I'm still wondering if I COULD FALL FOR HIM.
