Fate. Fate? Was it the fate that brought our souls together? Or, was it just what we thought it was.

So many people passed by, yet, it was your dazzling downright romantic hazel eyes that met mine, full of darkness, where the hope to live was entirely hidden behind the curtains. As you inspired respect and devotion from your pupils, I kept questioning myself, was it you? Was it your presence that moved the curtains and brought light to my world?

There's a saying "you need winter to have spring, and darkness to have light

Despite of all the darkness and cracks in me, even after all these years, you were the light that passed right through me, again. Hope was there wondering if that's really a light or just my delusion. But it was. You were the light.

Now that I saw you, I never wanted to think of anything else..but you. Although, sometimes I really wonder what crossed your mind when you stared at me through the crowds. Was it the same as me? Did you miss me as much as I did?

As I was sitting, desperately waiting for my bus to arrive, I saw him across the road..smiling. It wasn't just any smile, it was the smile that held the affection for someone you truly love. The smile that I once saw, years ago. The smile that rose the 16 year old me back to this day. The smile I hugely missed.

I thought to myself "was it really him? or am I dreaming" but to my surprise, I wasn't. It was him. My love.

I saw him slowly approaching towards me, carrying the same old light, full of hope. It felt as if the world has just stopped, except us. All of it felt surreal. Seeing him stand in front of me, all my feelings, emotions and love that was stored within me throughout the years, finally, left.

Tears glint and glisten down my cheeks as I stand up, we run towards each other and hug. He tightly wraps me in his arm with unexplainable devotion. I cling firmly to cherish every bit of his warmth, his love.

He whispered as we hugged "I missed you a lot.."

Well, I got my answer...

Seeing him smile felt like winning a contest. I hugged him again not even realizing how badly I missed him.

After all these years, I was finally home.

Counting and crossing the dates on calendars, at last, I finally reached the end of it. I got to meet you once again, the same 16 year old I fell for. Our undying devotion for each other proved right. Now it was just you whom I can hold on to. All we ever need is each other.

Waiting  for you was worth all the excruciating pain, realizing the fact that our fates seemed to be intertwined...
