As I walk to school on that fateful day, my heart is beating faster than usual. Today is the day I would finally confess my feelings to my childhood crush and friend. I had been rehearsing the words in my head for weeks, and I am determined to make it happen. As I approach her, I take a deep breath and open my mouth to speak.
"Safi, would you go out with me," I said as I feel heart pounding through my veins
"Yes, I would love to. I always love you, Mino." She replied
I was full of enjoyment but then lightning struck me from above. I am thrown back, my body tingling with energy, and suddenly found myself transported to an unknown world.
"Is this paradise?" I said in my head
As I looked around, I then hear a voice.
"Yes this is paradise Mino" replied to my previous statement in my head
I am utterly confused about how somehow someone can read my mind and know my name. I then spoke out loud for him to listen to me.
"Hello. Who is there? I am here to cause no harm." I said cautiously
"Hello Mino, I am greatly sorry for what I have done to you," this mysterious figure said
"What do you mean you are sorry about what you did to me?" I responded
"I kind of accidentally struck you with lightning as I was playing around with it" the figure replied
"YOU DID WHAT?" I said in utter disbelief at my situation
"Yes and I am sorry for the predicament" the figure replied
"Well it is too late now, I am already dead. Though I am sad that I need to leave Safi behind." I said with a calmer attitude since it is already over
"Yes and I am sincerely sorry for what I have done" the figure replied
"Well can you at least tell me your name, I don't even know who you are and how you know me," I said to the figure
"I am Yahweh, one of the supreme gods of the world and the current head of the godly community," said Yahweh
"Wait I was killed by a god?! Well, it is not as surprising as no human can strike a lightning bolt if you think about it", I responded with a shocked expression
"Yes, and I am deeply sorry about that. If you want, I can pay you back", said Yahweh
"How can you pay me back?" I respond
"Well, I can bring you to another world where you can live off comfortably if you like. I can even add adventure style theme since I know you like it" replied Yahweh
"Yes, I would love to!" I replied enthusiastically
"I will also give you some special powers as compensation for my action" replied Yahweh as he giggled"Well, whatever. At least I can live my fantasies!", I replied
"Well then, if you want to contact me, call me through the control panel" replied Yahweh
"Wait, control pane-" I replied as the teleportation commence, I can't finish his sentence
I then arrive in the new world. I proceed to verify every part of my body to see if nothing is lost from my travels. I proceed to look at my surroundings and it feels familiar. Though I proceed to brush the idea off and keep on thinking about the statement this god told me.
"A control panel? What did he mean by that?" I ponder about it and the idea of a panel of some kind in this world. I need to know about this weird panel he is talking about.
As I wander around the plains where I spawn, I spotted a dirt road. I decided to follow the dirt road and see where it led. As I walk, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I turn around, but there was no one in sight. I shrugged it off and continued down the road. Eventually, I came across a small village. The villagers look at me with suspicion, but I smile and tried to make friendly gestures. They seem to relax a bit and one of them approached me.
"Yameh, hufyi carry iuy," she said
I don't even know what she is talking about but suddenly I heard gods voice in me.
"Sorry, I forgot to give you the power to communicate, here is it," Yahweh said
Then suddenly, I fell and now understand the villagers. I wonder if he is always watching me, that is why I felt that feeling, but anyways I continue my conversation with the villagers.
"Sir are you alright," she said
"Yeah, I am alright. Just got a bit of a headache" I replied
"Oh sorry, hope you are fine. I was just saying why are you here sir?" the kind villager said
"I'm just passing through and looking for lodging I can spend my time at. I was wondering if you could tell me about a thing called a control panel. I was told it might be in this world," I replied.
The villager looked at me quizzically. "I'm not sure what you're talking about. We don't have anything like that here" in a confusing tone
I thank her and then she offers me a lodging that I gladly accept. As I walk towards the inn, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. I was hoping to find some answers, but it seems like I was back to square one. Nevertheless, I decided to keep searching and not give up hope. Who knows what other surprises this new world might have in store for me?
