Thomas was suggested by an Amazon employee. James was first believed to be too rambunctious and it was thought that having a more docile Baker family member would even out the credibility of the Baker name.

Thomas and James previous lives were swapped at the last minute. Previously Thomas was going to live on the plantation, but given James identity as a minor they were swapped for accuracy.

Murphy was originally supposed to nickname Diana "A cups" which was to make fun of her small bust size, though it never made it into the books.

Alexander's horse Penelope is a flaxen chestnut mare.

Many of Alexander's trinkets and souvenirs from his life are still in Estelle Manor though nobody knows where except him.

Stargazing as little children was how Nora and James first met.

Diana doesn't see herself ever falling in love with Benjamin, though doesn't deny that she finds him attractive.

Thomas has slept with more ladies than James, but doesn't tell.

During his time at war, Alexander fell in love with the New England landscape, and keeps several paintings of the New England landscape in his room.
