Alexander's name was originally Fredrick, but Alexander was picked to help remember his name starts with the first letter of the alphabet, and he's first in charge of the house.
Time was spent at the library looking up a ton of information on colonial life before making the characters. The most inspiration came from "The writers guide to everyday life in colonial America from 1607-1783 by Dale Taylor"
 Diana has cynophobia
Thomas was suggested by an Amazon employee. James was first believed to be too rambunctious and it was thought that having a more docile Baker family member would even out the credibility of the Baker name.
Thomas and James previous lives were swapped at the last minute. Previously Thomas was going to live on the plantation, but given James identity as a minor they were swapped for accuracy.
The coincidence of all four Reginald Manor Gold Watchers having the same names as the founding fathers was entirely on accident.
Alexander is the only Gold Watcher that has lived in another manor that is owned by a fellow author.
Most of the books in the library are actually owned by Thomas.
Benjamin is actually based off a teacher that the original author found extremely tall and handsome. He is totally unaware of the connection, and actually taught (you guessed it) U.S. history.
James enjoys cooking food that's distinctive of his childhood.
Diana often skips James cooking opting for foods that don't contain meat. Among such things skipped include boiled calves head, roasted pheasant, and kippers.
The Wiltshire twins were heavily inspired by the two wicked step sisters from Disney's Cinderella.
So far the Coventry's hold the record for most mortal staff at fifty members which include at least one dozen Irish servants.
Both Benjamin and Peter are left handed.
Murphy was originally supposed to nickname Diana "A cups" which was to make fun of her small bust size, though it never made it into the books.
Lady Isabelle Coventry is a lesbian.
The boys often slaughter mortals as Diana stays in her room, though these moments are left out of the story to avoid repetitive scenes.
Alexander's horse Penelope is a flaxen chestnut mare.
James is the only Gold Watcher of Reginald Manor that has actually killed a family member.
Alexander is Bisexual and has felt sexual attraction to at least one man after becoming a gold watcher, but refuses to admit it because he still honors many of England's Royal laws.
Many of Alexander's trinkets and souvenirs from his life are still in Estelle Manor though nobody knows where except him.
Stargazing as little children was how Nora and James first met.
Diana doesn't see herself ever falling in love with Benjamin, though doesn't deny that she finds him attractive.
Thomas has slept with more ladies than James, but doesn't tell.
During his time at war, Alexander fell in love with the New England landscape, and keeps several paintings of the New England landscape in his room.
Just a few fun facts I had lying around.
