I didn't answer. I patiently wait for him to try the 'so-called' holy water. "Well. Bottoms up."
I took my glasses off and look at Jerry. I watch his silhouette from my blurred vision. He appeared to be taking the holy water in something small. Also I think everyone else is watching him do it. He stops drinking the holy water. We all waited. Especially me. I was dying for something to occur.
However, nothing happened.
I was shocked. 'What?' Oh, great. Now I know that it wasn't holy water. It was just plain tap water.
"There. Satisfied?"
I wasn't. Nor impressed. "It wasn't blessed." Charley said.
"Are you calling me a liar young man?" Mr. Vincent replied, angry. "But Charley's right." I say. "You are a liar, Mr. Vincent." "Care to explain, young lady?" he asks me, sounding polite. I come closer to him. "Because... if the holy water was blessed, it probably would've damaged the inside of his body in a second. But nothing occurred. I suppose it was just tap water. Wasn't it?" Mr. Vincent got speechless. "Tap water... So it wasn't blessed???" Charley asks. "Of course not, Charley." I say. "Your friend Mr. Vincent here probably filled it up in a sink. To make you all believe that it was actually holy water. I'm not stupid here."
"(Y/N)..."
I hear Jerry call my name.
That didn't sound good. I stop talking. I didn't want to stand next to him. Nervous, I hid behind Charley and the others. I put my sunglasses back on. For the next minute or two, I hear Charley and Mr. Vincent argue over about this mess.
"Then if he's not a vampire, then have him touch this."
"Oh, Charley! You made a fool of yourself once! There's no reason to compound the error."
God, what am I listening to?
"Yes, Charley. You've already caused your friends quite enough pain." I hear Jerry. "You wouldn't want to cause them anymore. Would you?"
Through my blurred vision, I notice someone move closer to Charley. I'm guessing that whoever it was is posing as a threat to him. That is when I had to intervene. I went over and held my cane in front of him, blocking him from approaching Charley. "I suggest you step back from him." He doesn't say anything, but probably left stunned. "Go ahead, Charley." I say.
"No. No, of course not." he continued.
"And you're finally convinced that I'm not a vampire either. Right?"
Charley growled. "Yes..."
"That I find it hard to believe..." I mumble real low.
Everyone leaves the room. I call Charley's name, holding my hand out. He grabs my hand. We leave together. "Thanks, (Y/N). I owe you one." "Don't mention it." I reply. We join the others. Then I hear that goofy ass little boy giggle. Evil... Or... Whatever the fuck his name is. "Look, Amy! Your lover boy's found a new playmate!" "Don't start, please!" I say, pissed off. "Charley?! Is this true?!" she shouts. "Amy, just leave (Y/N) alone. You clearly see that she's not in a good mood. Don't make it any worse." Charley said to her. Blushing and embarrassed, I release my hand from him. I cover my face. I brush past Amy and Evil. I went over to Mr. Vincent.
"My dear, what's wrong?" he asks, concerned. "I wanna fucking go home." I spat, irritated and upset. "Oh... I'm sorry, darling. Having a rough night?" I didn't answer because I didn't feel like talking anymore. I sigh, waiting to get out of here. Then I hear Mr. Vincent gasp. "What is it?" I ask. I wasn't prepared for what I was about to hear next...
"His reflection... is not showing up in my mirror..."
My eyes widen. "What?!" I lowly exclaimed. I felt him move closer to me. "I'm serious, (Y/N)... He's not casting a reflection... in my mirror......"
So Charley was right all along...
We are literally in the same room with an actual vampire as we speak. And the fact that 'he' was at my house not too long ago.
I let out a nervous cry and almost fell to my knees. Luckily Mr. Vincent catches me. I hear something fall and crack on the floor. I assume it was his mirror. Everyone stopped talking. "Something wrong, Mr. Vincent? Is (Y/N) alright?" Hearing that 'vampire' talk made me more scared. Fear took over my body. "Act normal..." Mr. Vincent whispers in my ear. I slowly nod and pretend.
"Oh, nothing! It was... it was just my clumsiness. And... I think (Y/N)'s not feeling quite well..."
"Are you sure?"
"Mr. Vincent, I..." I pause before speaking again. "I'll meet you and the others outside." I head to the front door and leave. I carefully walk down the steps and wait for Charley and the others. I thought in my head. Was that guy really a vampire? A hoax or... God, I don't even know what's real anymore...
'What the hell is going on here???'
