Lisa changed into her high heels and got ready to go. "I'll be back later than normal tonight."

There was no expression on Jungkook. He didn't acknowledge her.

Lisa was only informing him. She hadn't expected a response.

The charity ball took place at a hotel and all of the proceeds from the auction would be donated to those in need.

Lisa had attended plenty of these events with her parents in the past. She felt that, comparing to the gathering solely for eating, drinking, and having fun, albeit equally boring, at least gatherings like these were more meaningful.

"Just follow me and buy anything that you like."

Mother Jeon maintained herself very well. That, on top of the fact that she was a beautiful woman when she was young, she was still very attractive when she dressed up.

She reminded Lisa with a smile. "Don't worry about money. The card that I gave you before belongs to Kook. You are his wife. It's your right to spend his money."

What Mother Jeon didn't tell her was that most of Jeon Corporation's dividends went into this card. She didn't want to scare Lisa with the amount in it.

Mother Jeon didn't worry that Lisa would spend extravagantly. After all, there was more money in there than Lisa could spend in a lifetime.*

After receiving fancy jewelries from Mother Jeon multiple times, Lisa had already learned that her mother-in-law was a very generous person. As long as she was nice to Jungkook, her Mother Jeon would put up with a lot.

Lisa smiled and acknowledged Mother Jeon after she heard that.

Many of the wealthy housewives from the other prominent families came up to greet them when Mother Jeon showed up with Lisa.

Mother Jeon introduced Lisa to them. They had never announced her in the past so this was Lisa's first time being introduced to the other prominent families.

Many guests knew that Second Young Master Jeon was autistic and it was the Jeon's adopted son who was currently assisting Father Jeon in taking care of the massive Jeon's empire.

"She is beautiful. Madam Jeon is so lucky."

"She looks very loveable."

"You could tell she's a smart one."

The ladies that came over studied Lisa carefully. They praised her verbally as they looked at her with a hint of contempt.

She was born to an ordinary family. Decent looking but there were plenty of beautiful looking girls there. Lisa seemed very ordinary when compared to them.

Had the Second Young Master Jeon not be autistic, with the Jeon family's status, he could totally have married an outstanding lady. But now, the Second Young Master Jeon who never showed his face could only marry such an ordinary woman.

Lisa was not silly. Naturally, she could tell the how fake and perfunctory the other madams' words were but she didn't care.

During the banquet, Mother Jeon was surprised to find out that Lisa's was poised and not intimidated at all when talking to the other madams.

Lisa didn't fawn over them because of their high status. She acted appropriately and even handled the situation very well. She made the other chuckled.

It was as though she was born for environment like this.

Mother Jeon remembered the first time she brought Lisa with her to a banquet. As much as she tried to hide it, her pettiness showed. She stooped very low when she interacted with the other guests and made herself a laughingstock of many.

This new Lisa had opened up Mother Jeon's eyes. Naturally, the more outstanding Lisa was, the better.

"What did you say to Madam Wang earlier to make her so happy?" Mother Jeon was curious.

Lisa took a few sips of her red wine before she put her glass down. "Madam Wang is wearing a pink diamond ring. There are only 15 pink diamonds in the world that are over 10 carats in size and Madam Wang one is one of them and it is also the only one that reached F in grading."

Lisa blinked at Mother Jeon and said in a cheerful tone, "I just told Madam wang that the rare youthful pink diamond ring compliments her very well."

Madam Wang smiled at Mother Jeon and said, "Madam Jeon, this daughter-in-law of yours has good eyes."

Mother Jeon had no idea how Lisa was able to appraise diamonds but she was happy that Lisa was praised.
