Dear Leo,
I had another nightmare last night. It was about Claire.
In the dream her parents were moving. Her mom wanted to be with her sister because she had a stroke. They were on their way to Michigan. Claire couldn't pay her rent because Dad stopped paying for it. She had to go with her parents. But she took him.
She took Sander.
In my dream I woke up on a bed beside my dad. His head was hidden by his big hands, but I could tell he was crying. Seeing him like that made my heart ache. I could feel the heat rising in me with every second that passed. I was about to reach out and touch him when his alarm clock lit up, the alarm blaring. It was only 4:59.
In real life I woke up in a cold sweat with tears lining my face. It all seemed to real.
I turned my head gently to the right and realized in shock what time it was.
One minute til' five o'clock.
