Bondita blame herself

"Achchha ek kaam karte hai hum dono hi bistar par so jaate hai" she said interrupting him.

"Ek hi bistar par kaise so sakte hai Bondita" he asked. Bondita went to couch and took all the pillows placed there and came to bed place the pillows between the bed making a vertical line separating the sides of bed.

"Aise, aap takiye (pillow) ke us taraf so jaayiye aur main is taraf ab to thik hai na aur phir waise bhi kal se to batuk bhi hamaare saath hi soyega, bas aaj raat ki baat hai" she said. He nodded smilingly.

"Aap so jaayiye main kapde badal kar aati hoon" she said and he nodded. She went into washroom and he laid on the bed.

"Bondita lock the door of the washroom. She turn on the shower and sat under the shower and start crying harder.

Tap water was running. Shower was open. She was sitting under the shower on the floor hugging her knees crying continuously but her voice didn't reached his ears due to sound of running water.

"Ye kya ho gaya.... ye sab.... ye sab mujhse kya ho gaya.... main.... main.... main un dono ke bich aa gayi.... main do pyar karne waalo ke bich aa gayi.... wo mujhe patni nahi maante...... bojh ban gayi main un par...... un.... unchaahe riste me baandh diya maine unhe.... ye kya ho gaya meri wajah se" Bondita said while crying. "Main.... main cha.. chali jaaungi unki zin... zindagi se... ye sab meri wajah se hua hai... sa.. sab meri galti hai... ... mujhe maaf kar dijiye barrister babu maine aapki zindagi barbad kar di... mujhe maaf kar dijiye main chali jaaungi hamesha hamesha ke liye." She said and got up and about to go.

"Ruk ja Bondita" imaginary Bondita stopped her. "Kahaa jaa rahi hai?"

"Main dur jaa rahi hoon in sab se bahut dur.... mai... maine unki zindagi barbad kar... kar di... wo... wo pat... patni nahi maante mujhe... sirf ap.. apni... maaji aur apne bhaiyo ke liye ye vivah kiya ap... apna pyar apna sab kuchh tyag diya... meri wajah se wo apne pyar se du... dur ho gaye... main un dono ke bich ki diwar nahi banna chahti... unki khushiyon me kata (throne) nahi banna chahti.." she  said while sobbing.

"Aur us vade ka kya jo tune apni maa aur kaka sasurji se kiya tha... un bachcho ka kya Bondita jinke liye tu yahaa aayi..?" imaginary Bondita asked her. She remembered her promise which she gave to her maa and Kaka sasurji.

FLASHBACK.........

After all the last rituals of Shubhra,  Roy Choudhary family except Anirudh went to Devipur Bondita's house to fix their marriage. Das family welcomed them. They were discussing about marriage arrangements and all. Bondita came there with a tray full of cups. She was wearing a beautiful red georgette saree with thin flowery border in Bombay dastur style with pallu on head. Small red bindi between the eyebrows, kohl in eyes, half open hair , red bangles in hand , small golden jhumkas and a thin golden necklace. She gave the cup of tea to all the elders. She take Batuk in her arm from kaka and stand beside her mother.

Som who was very delight after so many day after seeing her. He felt like his mother came back to him came to her and touched her feet to take her blessing latter asked her not to do this to which he said " aap badi hai aur meri hone wali baudi bhi aur kaka ne hamesha hume sikhaya hai ki apno se bade ke paer chhune chahiye". She cupped his cheek with her one hand and smiled.

Later Das family asked for Anirudh that why can't come to which kaka replied "Arey wo barrister hai na Anirudh to kaam ke silsile me kacheri jaana padaa aap to jaante hi hai aajkal ke bachcho ko din bhar bas kaam kaam aur kaam aur kuchh dikhta hi nahi hai."

All das family look toward each other kaka saw this and said, " aap sab chinta mat kijiye hamaare paas tasveer hai na uski." He take out Anirudh's photo and give it to mama. He saw the photo and smile then give that to all the ladies. They also smile and then give it to Bondita. She take the photo and went inside her room with Som and Batuk. Here they all fixed their marriage.

"Hum apni hone wali bahu se kuchh jaruri baat karna chahte hai akele me to kya hum...." kaka said.

"Ji jarur kyu nahi" mama said and kaka went in Bondita's room were they were chit chatting. Kaka smile.

"Bahu" kaka called her. She looked toward the door and saw kaka and stand up.

"Kaka sasurji aayiye na" she said. Kaka went inside.

"Bahu hume tumse kuchh jaruri baat karni hai"

"Ji kahiye na"

"Dekho bahu tum humaare ghar ki hone wali badi bahu ho isiliye hum
tumse ek vachan lena chahte  hai  kya tum dogi hume vachan" he said and she nodded. "Tum to janti ho humaari shubhra behan, Anirudh, Som aur Batuk ki maa ki mrityu (death) achanak ho gayi. Unke jaane ke baad sab bikhar sa gaya Humaara Anirudh puri tarah se tut gaya, wo bilkul bhi pahle jaisa nahi rahaa. Som, ye to itna tut gaya ki raat ko so bhi nahi pata hai  aur Batuk, ye to itna chhota hai ki apni maa ke baare me ise kuchh yaad bhi nahi hoga ye dono bachche bina maa ke kaise rahenge. Shubhra behan ki aakhiri ichchha the ki tum bano humaare ghar ki badi bahu aur hume is baat se koi sandeh (suspection) nahi hai ki kyu shubhra behan ye chahti thi tum ho hi itni achchhi. Som aur Batuk ye dono to abhi bahut hi chhote hai in dono ko abhi ek maa ki jarurat hai isiliye humaare chhote beto ke liye hum chahte hai ki tum ye vivah karlo hamaare bade bete se Hamaari behan ki ye aakhiri  ichchha puri kardo beta Batuk bahut chhota hai is nanhi si jaan ko tumhari jarurat hai beta humaara ghar khushiyon se bhar do beta hum tumhare saamne haath jodte hai" kaka said joining his hand but But Bondita held his hand.

"Nahi kaka sasurji aap aise haath mat jodiye bado ke haath bachcho ko aashirwaad dete hue achchhe lagte hai jodkar vinti Karte hue nahi... main vachan deti hoon aapko ki main us ghar me khushiyaan wapas lakar hi rahungi main inko pahle jaisa kar dungi. Sab kuchh thik kar dungi" she said with determination.

"Hume wada karo bahu chahe jitni bhi kathinaai (difficulty) aaye tum ye rista nibhaaogi" kaka asked forwarding his hand.

"Main wada karti hoon ki chahe kuchh bhi ho jaaye main is riste ko apni puri siddat se nibhaaungi. Aapko shikayat ka ek bhi mauka nahi dungi" she said placing her hand on his hand. He smile and blessed her.

"Hamesha khush raho ab hum chalte hai bahu (to som) chalo Som"he said and they went from there.
