*Two Days Until Competition*

We started off by rehearsing the group dance. Then rehearsing solos. Brooke went first and I followed after her.

"Your solo is called 'Serenity'. The music is instrumental. Your dance style will be contemporary, but there is some acro incorporated in it." Abby explained before we started working on it.

"Good girl, that look good!" Abby said giving me a high-five after running through my dance. I was still breathing heavily. I'm glad I'm getting challenged with my dance this week. After leaving Studio A, I went to ballet.

"Sooo, I heard you had a solo!" Hannah said excitedly.

"Yes, I do." I smiled.

"What style is it?" Noah asked.

"Contemporary, but theres acro embedded in it." I responded.

"You are always amazing at contemporary dances!" Olivia encouraged.

"Aw, thanks Liv." I said.

*One Day Until Competition*

"Girls, listen up. If you want fame, you start paying right here, right now. Blood, sweat, sore muscles, calluses. We went to a competition, and not one of my students made the top ten? That's never gonna happen to the Abby Lee Dance Company again. This is going to be like booty camp. You're gonna walk in here, and you're gonna work, and you're gonna work, and you're gonna work harder the next day!" Abby said before we started rehearsing the group dance. Unfortunately, it didn't get any better.

"Lock the back knee in the lunge!"

"Oh, somebody's foot was flexed!"

"Whoa! What is she doing there? Get up! You, blondie? You were gone for a week, not a year." Abby told Chloe. Suddenly, the moms came down from Abby's yelling with costumes.

"Girls, we are leaving on a plane tomorrow morning. This is the third time changing it because you couldn't do it the first two times. Blondie, we could all be home by now." Abby said making Christi get agitated.

"You know what? My daughter has a name!" Christi yelled.

"Not anymore in my book, sweetheart." Abby responded.

"Oh, yes, she does. She has a name, Abby!" Christi said.

"So do you." Abby said walking off.

"Yeah." Christi agreed.

"It starts with a 'B.'" Abby said fully walking off.

*Competition Day*

"Girls, remember, you are in Fort Lauderdale. I mean, these kids down here dance. Dance is part of the culture. So you really need to focus. This all about the technique." Abby said as I was putting on my makeup. After doing my makeup I started stretching for the upcoming dance. Abby started talking to Maddie and I put my costume on.

I finished getting changed before Mommy started putting braids in my hair.
