I woke up early so I wouldn’t be late ‘again’. I first started my workout routine. I then decided to take Moi for a walk in the park nearby. The fresh air and exercise felt great, and spending quality time with my furry friend was nice.
As we walked, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful autumn leaves falling from the trees. After our walk, I noticed that my parents went to work early so did my sister. Before I knew it, hours had passed, and my stomach was grumbling.

I rummaged through my refrigerator to find something I could cook. Lucky! I found a tapa. With that, I cooked tapsilog. A breakfast meal consisting of beef tapa, fried egg, and garlic fried rice.
While preparing tapsilog, I had a happy thought come to mind. It was during high school. In a team in our TLE class, Chigiri and I were teammates. We were given the task of making tapsilog. Despite not being a skilled cook, the others chose Chigiri to be their leader. H panicked a lot back then.
I laughed as I remembered this moment. It would be nice if he remembered it too.
Moments later, I decided I'd pack a lunch for both of us. I knew it would be a long day, and I wanted to make sure we had enough food to keep us going. Hmm what should I cook? A food that Chigiri likes…
Oh! I recalled when he told me back then he likes toratang talong or also known as eggplant omellete. As I rummaged through the fridge, I found three egpplants, perfect!
I cooked our lunch as well as beef meat. As I was about to finish plating our lunchbox, I added more meat to Chigiri’s portion. I think he has a bigger appetite than me. I couldn't help but smile as I thought about how much he would enjoy the extra beef.
Walking through the dining table, I placed our lunch box there for me to get it later on. Then I headed upstairs to take a bath.

It was 8:12 when I woke up. Truth be told, I didn’t sleep a wink. I was too excited for today. Also, I wasn’t able to decide which outfit I should wear yesterday. I want to look presentable but my clothes are not giving. But I know someone who can help me with that.
I knocked in my sister's room knowing she was already awake. I peeked through her room, “Good morning ate, busy ka?”
“Oh, good morning, di naman, bakit?” she replied.
“This is a bit sudden but pwedeng patulong pumili ng damit?” I said softly. She suddenly screamed which made me jolt, “OMG MALAKI NA HYOMA NAMIN!!”
She asked me too many questions like “who’s this lucky person?”, “what do they look like?”, “should we invite them for dinner?”
My sister shook my body as she kept asking me a bunch of questions. “Ate, kalma lang. I just need you to help me find an outfit para sa hangout namin ng kaibigan ko.”
She let go of me and changed her expression, “Tch, kala ko pa naman.” Well, sorry to let you down but don’t worry, ate, I’ll ask him out na lang (jokes on you, you better make the first move, Kunigami).
“And so, who’s this friend of yours?” she asked me while she was putting her hair in a bun.
“Kunigami”
Her jaw dropped open. “PUTANGINAA, DI NGA!? YUNG CRUSH MO DATI, HALA” Gosh, her voice could be heard in the whole neighborhood as she exclaimed in disbelief. Moments later, my mom entered the room telling us to shut up.
Don’t tell me my sister would tell mom about it. Fuck, too late. “Ma! Alam mo ba, ka date niya ngayon yung crush niya nung high school!” My mom’s face turned mad to a grinning expression. She was excited to hear the news about my ‘date’ (hangout actually) with my high school crush. I couldn't believe my sister had spilled the beans so quickly. I tried to hide my embarrassment as my mom bombarded me with questions about the ‘date’.
I avoided every question they asked, “Ate kasi! Tulungan mo na lang kasi ako.” I dragged her away.

Afterward, I was able to pick something to wear. My hair was also done. All thanks to my sister.
“Hyoma, should I drop you off kung saan man kayo pupunta?” my sister suggested.
I quietly said, “He’ll pick me up…”
Man, their grins turn bigger. “Olalala, dinaig pa ako ng kapatid ko”. They were not even trying to hide it. “I get it, so stop grinning; I could see it all.”
Damn, I want to see him already.
