DETENTION

Untitled Part 1

It was my first day of high school. The school that I was going to.., lets just say had a bad reputation. I wasn't scared of that though, I was scared of embarrassing myself on the first day. I was on my way to school texting my friend excitedly about how we had gotten the same home room teacher and some other classes together. Obviously we didn't have all the same classes together, but a couple was enough. I was about to cross the street to get to my school when the bell rang. I couldn't be late on my first day! Now that would be embarrassing. 

A couple minutes later..

I entered the classroom and I saw all eyes on me, I was 15 minutes late, "I had trouble finding my class" I quickly apologized to the teacher . He didn't look like he cared that much, I didn't think too much about it. I quickly introduced myself. I could see Kiara at the back with an empty seat so I obviously sat beside her. Kiara had been my friend since middle school and she has always been there for me.

We hadn't done anything much because it was the first day of school. "Good Morning everyone my name is Mr. Eddie and I'll be your homeroom teacher, feel free to call me Mr. E". While the teacher was telling us about how to navigate the school and our schedule I noticed that he kept looking at me. "The teacher keeps looking at me directly in the eye, it's kind of weird" - I whispered to Kiara. Kiara whispered back "Yeah, that is weird". When the bell rang everybody got up and left. I was the last one out.

The bell rang for lunch, everyone started packing up ready to leave the classroom to their lockers. I was about to exit the class but then my teacher called me over, Kiara came with me but the teacher told her she can leave. Why was he only calling me? "Am I in trouble?" I asked the teacher. "Oh no i just wanted to tell you that next time you are late you need to get a late slip, that's all." He smiled. "Ok..thank you!".

 I quickly left to go get my lunch from my locker. Kiara was waiting for me by my locker, "What did Mr. E want? Or should I say your secret admirer?" - She said Jokingly. "He just told me to get a late slip next time I'm late, nothing weird." I replied to her. "You're probably just over reacting, he's just being nice." Kiara told me. Then we just started walking to the cafeteria. I accidentally bumped into a sophomore. He was tall, and cute too. "Sorry I'm kind of clumsy" I apologized. "No problem"- He replied. I did a little research and I found out his name was Ethan and He was in my math class! .

We decided the lunch room was too noisy and went to find a different spot in the school to sit at. . While we were walking, I looked over and saw Mr. E across the hall. He was looking right at me. We made direct eye contact and then he looked away and walked off. "Did you see that?" I asked Kiara. "See what?" she said. "Oh never mind" I said and we continued walking. Kiara asked me if I wanted to eat in the bathroom which i replied with "Gross! No way". We decided to sit under the stairs. We pulled up some chairs and sat down. It was a pretty nice spot.
