The paper in your hands burnt beneath you like a spiteful fire caged on a chimney. It was gently caressing you, but you knew damn well what it was capable of doing.

All good.Actually.Your grades were more than good. They were outstanding. All A,A,A....On any other day you would have gone out of your way to celebrate your achievements, which didn't happen to be out of the ordinary in terms of academics. But not this time. This time was different.

Not letters could help you with the qualification you needed.Qualification? Could you even call it that?

A mere section on your outstanding application.A section on your piece of paper that, the more you desperately tried blinking hard and squishing your hands together.Wishing there would be something.A minimal letter written in ink.

Extracurricular activities:

Nothing. An empty gap stared at you.Almost as if mocking the fact that you had completely missed it somehow.Missed it? you didn't even know it was an actual thing.

"You wanna go to college abroad right Y/n?" your tutor  sighed with concern, bsitting at the other side of the desk, facing you directly. You had never  had a serious conversation with her till now. And the second she had mentioned it was to talk about your college application, you knew you messed up.

"The college you want to attend is quite prestigious.I'm confident in you obtaining the grades you need but..." she sighed, slowly removing her  glasses from his face "without extracurriculars.I doubt your application will stand out"

"When is the deadline?" You immediately responded, your eyes still fixed on your failure of an application.

"You still have time. And you don't necessarily have to include them but in all honesty. This looking empty...doesn't make you stand out from other students with the same grades.And...some students have already submitted theirs"

....

"You are kidding me" you furiously mumbled throwing a stone at the river on your way home.

Did you seriously have to do it? All those grades you had been working for were being held back by the stupid and insignificant fact that you had nothing written on the extracurriculars section.

Or maybe it didn't matter.Maybe you could just send it as soon as possible and just rely on the grades .Your grades. We're you willing to risk it like that? What if ...it was true....you wouldn't stand out.

The thing was,you had never found an interest in any of the things the school offered.

You look through the leaflet the headteacher had given you, uninterestedly skimming through the options.

Volleyball

Nah.

Debate

Boring.

Calligraphy??

Non of the options sparked your interest till you reached the end of the leaflet.

Robotics.

That's cool?! You gasped with slight interest and commitment, but that spark in your eyes slowly evaporated as an image of someone unpleasant lurked through your mind, the very second you thought of joining.

Nope.No way.You couldn't join robotics.

He went there. They all went there. Damn they went to most of the extracurriculars your school offered. But of-course they did.

So that meant you had...nothing.

"Damn I bet they have so much to include in that section" you exhaled in defeat.

You could always pay for something outside of school. But would your parents be able to afford that? could you risk spending your own money on it?

You sighed, throwing yourself on the grass surrounding the river bank. The sky was beautiful,it was slowly turning into a light pink colour that caressed your face as you lifted the piece of paper up in the sky.

And that's when you spotted it.

Your eyes gradually focused on something you hadn't seen before.Something written at the very bottom,in very very messy and awful handwriting.

"Soccer?" You mumbled, not even noticing you had said it out loud.Is that what it said ?

You weren't necessarily bad at soccer. You actually enjoyed it when you were younger but you hadn't played it in ages...let alone thought of even consider it as an extracurricular.

"Mmm I guess I will go check it out tomorrow-" you interrupted yourself, doing a double take to the schedule.

Most clubs had the usual...

3:00-4:00

3:00 to 3:30

But this had to be a joke

3:00 - after hours

Written in even messier handwriting.

"Damn.Well it's still on I guess I could go check it out"

Going there hadn't been a long journey although it took you a while to find it due to the lack of people aware that there was a soccer club in the first place.

Apparently on Mondays all clubs were required to have a meetings in an assigned classroom for each club, which made it even harder to find.

Yours was literally just the shelter next to the soccer pitch.Made sense.

"Hello? " you were welcome by nobody. It was dead silent.A single large table in the middle and three seats around it.Nothing else apart from two doors, left and right.

Great.

There was not a single soul in here.

You were about to leave when suddenly heard someone's voice.A harmony being sang by somebody in a very childish tone.

You dashed to the door the Melody was coming from, simultaneously opening it as you confidently let out your next words.

"Excuse me!are you from the soccer team?-"

But what you saw immediately made your cheeks go red and in a state of panic, you smashed the dot closed.

There was someone there.

A two coloured hair boy.

A guy who happened to be in your year.

And he was fucking naked.
