The next day was rough like any other day after your father scolded you. You were still thinking about what he had said last night. The usual You don't care about us or yourself, such an irresponsible daughter and that you were a good for nothing and couldn't follow simple rules. His words echoed in your head like an annoying tune, only this one seemed like one of those that haunted you.

You were trying to stop thinking about it but it was practically impossible which is why you stat with the rest in silence.

Everything sounded so quiet, you weren't even sure of what they were talking about . Being surrounded by many people was starting to make you feel dizzy for some reason. You felt the need to go somewhere quiet. You wished you could just teleport to your room. If you were able to have a superpower of some sort right now, that would definitely be it.

" I'm gonna go toilet real quick" you announced before leaving, you had no clue of what they were talking about so you just walked away quickly waving at Ami who caught a glimpse of you and waved back. Of the whole group, Ami was the one you felt the closest with, sort of. You guys didn't really hang out together but whenever the whole group was out, it was always her you talked to. Ami was very timid and rarely said what she truly wanted to say, often just copying the rest. In a way you felt like that was you at times.

Was it a headache or the lack of sleep again? The daily all nighters were getting worse. They made you unable to hold a conversation anymore and you assumed they were definitely the reason why you had messed up that important bit of your college application.

You wondered through the hallways, aimlessly walking and staring out the windows. This type of silence. The silence that hid within places where conversations lingered. Perhaps you didn't even wanna be alone in the first place.

Then...Bam !.  There was clattering unexpectedly heard from one of the classrooms. And it sounded concerning.

With an obvious look of confusion, you peeked behind the door of the classroom before entering  only to be met with a strange scene. It was Bachira, doing tricks obviously, a soccer ball. And he had apparently been using books as targets.

The second he realised he was being watched his eyes sparkled as if they had been met with the sun, causing them to reflect so bright you could barely make eye contact with him.

"Y/n!" he gasped, waving his hands. He seemed super excited to see you which made you erupt a chuckle. It was cute.

" hi Bachira" you smiled, giving him a shy wave "um I heard...clattering so I hope you are okay?"

" oh yeah that! I was testing if I could make all of those fall, I only missed one ! look!look!" he pointed at a book that was placed on top of a chair in an unusual manner. Literally standing .

" oh-" you nodded, not knowing exactly how to respond. " do you ever get in trouble for this or something?" you were lost for  words.

Bachira laughed " no no not unless a teacher comes by before I clean it. That's my least favourite part~" he gave a little ran to the shelf and quickly proceeded to place all of the books that were scattered around back in their place.

You walked over to him, kneeling down to help him pick up the books. It was such a random classroom. There were a bunch of books, non of a particular subject, and not to mention there was more furniture than usual but it didn't lack the usual tables and sits.

" any particular reason why you are here?" Bachira gave you his usual smile, still grabbing books and forcing them in the shelf. Somehow it looked more disorganised than when they were on the floor.

" huh what do you mean? like in this classroom"

Bachira smiled " yeah yeah you are usually surrounded by a lot of people at lunch time. Is weird seeing you here by yourself"

You stared at him for a minute before returning the smile " oh you noticed that"

" Yeah of course" he ran back to where the ball was, moving the tables that were close to him back so there was more space than before.

" your going for another round?" you asked.

"nope. It's actually you turn, go on! " he handed you the soccer ball with a smug look on his face. You raised an eyebrow, shaking your head " It's a miss for sure"

" well...you don't know that yet do you ?" he reassured. " Just, see the books that I placed the are standing over the chairs? those are the ones that have to fall, but if you are aiming higher, you can try the ones on the shelf! go on "

You threw the ball in the air before kicking it. Surprisingly kicking it and sending it straight into the closest chair with a book. the book fell to the floor and you gasped in surprise at the sight.

" not bad! " he celebrated giving a little jump and clapping his hands " Y/n is getting better at soccer! she's a natural pro~" he sang as if it were a children's rhyme, moving left to right.

" high five" you suggested, lifting your hand in the air.

Bachira was suddenly quiet. His eyes opening wide with apparent astonish. You were a bit concerned. But before you could even ask, he smiled, returning your high five.

The second his hand met yours, a brusque wind hit the room, slamming the windows and doors that were open. Both you and Bachira were startled by it for a sec but then you smiled at each other staring as if you were talking through your glances.

" its been so windy, I can't believe its spring" you tried to start a conversation.

" ahh the wind is annoying " Bachira pouted.

" really ? huh"  It was strange hearing Bachira dislike something when he seems like such a cheerful person.

" yeah playing soccer is not as enjoyable when there is wind because when I kick the ball one way, it goes the other way ! it's bad."

" of course" you giggled. Imagining Bachira attempting to score goals in the windy. He was probably still able to despite complaining.

The bell rang, signalling everyone to go back to class. Bachira sighed in disappointment, obvious not looking forward to go to class.

" ugh, my class is on the first floor. What a bummer " Bachira sighed " It was fun playing targets y/n! I look forward to soccer club today !" he waved, grabbing his ball and walking away to the door.

" Bye bye " you waved as he proceeded to open the door but to your surprise, Bachira still stood there, his back facing you.

He turned to you with a smile on his face and his hand on his face whilst the other carried the ball. " Y/n..."

" yeah Bachira?" you moved your head to the side. His smile was different to his usual smiles.

" this is a storage room" he covered his mouth, trying to contain his laugh.

" what's the problem?" you were beginning to panic as you guys only had a few minutes left to get back to lesson, so you walked over top the door and twisted the doorknob determine to leave.

"and I don't have the keys......"

He could not be serious...
