Time is 12:10 AM.

I've been hearing strange banging on the roof of my house. My mother didn't hear them. She was fast asleep. I search around the house to see if anyone was attempting to break in. I check everywhere. No one was here. I hear another strange noise. I thought it was serious, but it was a tree branch hitting my window. I sigh in relief. 'Maybe... It was nothing...'

I head back upstairs to my room. I close the door behind me and go to the window, watching my neighbor's house. At his window, the light cuts off. I then look at (Y/N)'s house. I'm very worried for her. I don't want him going after her. Especially because she's blind. To him, he'll think she's an easy target. I can't let that happen. I can't let (Y/N) be his next victim.

Or worse... turned into a vampire.

I look at my cross. I grip onto it. 'Don't worry, (Y/N). I'm gonna protect you to the fullest extent. I won't let him get to you. I promise.' I put the cross in my pocket. I watch the house. I yawn. For some reason, I felt like something was off. I feel like someone is standing behind me...

"Hello, Charley."

My eyes widen. That voice... 'Oh no...' I slowly turn around... He's here. Glaring at me. I flinch and jump back. "W-What are you doing here?!"

"I need answers from you, Charley..."

"Answers?!" I exclaim.

"Yes. About your attractive little friend who's blind."

No...

"Answer truthfully. Did you tell (Y/N) to call the police?"

What? How does he... "What are you talking about, Dandridge?! Where you're getting this from?!"

"You didn't answer me, Charley. Did you tell her to call the cops?"

I frown at him. "No."

"Really? Did you told (Y/N) and her friend my description to give to the police? And did you leak my address to them???"

Wait a fucking second... Where's this bitch getting this fro— Oh god. Remember when (Y/N) stopped abruptly because she felt like someone was following us? She was right... It was him. Shit. I gotta lie some type of way. This motherfucker's not stopping me or (Y/N). "I did not, Dandridge. Leave." I point to the door. He stare hard at me. He wouldn't leave or move.

Eventually, he grabs my neck, choking me.

"If you're not gonna answer my questions truthfully, then I'll have to torture you to find the answers I need to know. Or you'll never see (Y/N) again..."

Serene and I went out for a walk. I suggested it, though she mentioned that it might be too risky. I told her as long I was safe with her, that's all that matters. We went to a small garden and sat next to fountain. It was my favorite place to go to whenever I feel upset. Actually, I've been going there for years. My father used to take me there when I was little. I'd always pick flowers and sit under the trees. I forgot how it looks now. I barely visit here. I look down and sigh. "I hate my life... This blind lifestyle isn't easy..." Serene comforts me. "I miss my parents..." I say to her.

"I know..." she said. I stand up and look at the blurry night sky. I notice something shiny and glowing through the trees. The moon was out. I don't know if it's a full or half moon. I sigh and turn to Serene. "I don't wanna be here anymore. Let's go home..." With that, we left the garden.

We walk down the street. "Are we close?" I ask. "Yes." Serene replies. "We are." Soon, I stop. I sense something. She stops as well. "Is something wrong, (Y/N)?" I didn't answer. Out of nowhere, we hear a loud whoosh and flapping. I quickly look around. "What the hell..." Serene said. I was about to say something, but there was a loud noise of glass breaking and screeching. I scream and held onto her. "Serene!!!!" "(Y/N)! GET DOWN!!!" she shouts. The both of us drop down to the ground. I cover my head. "What is it?!?!" Serene and I stay on the ground for a few seconds before getting up quickly.

"Come on, (Y/N)! We need to get the hell out of here!" She grabs my hand and we sprint off. We made it to the house. We quickly enter and lock the door behind us. I was out of breath. "What... the hell was that?" Serene coughs. "I... don't want to explain, (Y/N)... I'll tell you in the morning. Let's just go to bed..."
