'Coldness dared to cling to the air, but couldn't easily, after all Lothal wasn't one of the colder planets. The slight coldness pecked at Noya's silver fur, so she ruffled it, as she watched the small grey creature scuttle by. Noya felt her mother's eyes flickering between her and her brother's backs. She was sure she was going to catch the loth-rat before her brother could even pick up its scent. She had bet so earlier so she hopped her brother hadn't caught the scent. She had to shove the thought aside. One paw step at a time, careful or you'll scare it. She thought. She held her tails straight, as to not move the still grass. The rat was now a small leap in front of her, she held herself stiff then remembered she was not a loth-cat. She was wolf. She got low to the ground and untensed her muscles. Noya pressed herself against the cool ground, grateful the sky was dark, otherwise her silver pelt would show. She slowly opened her mouth to let in the taste of the loth-rat. It was so close yet so far, she had to do this right. Noya rolled her shoulders then waited. The rat hadn't noticed this, it continued to clean its square ears. Noya's ears fell back and she leapt forward. Her paws had landed on empty dirt, still warm, she still sensed the rat's heart beat. 'You will not get away.' She thought as she got up then dipped her nose to the ground. She caught the trail and started to chase after it. She had to lift her muzzle so she would not hit her muzzle with her paws. A yip of pain broke her concentration. Noya stopped and turned to see her white-furred brother being dragged away by massive humanoids. Noya barked to her brother, he did not respond as he was hit with a lazer whip. Noya's ears fell back as fear ate away at her chest. Her tails fell then she was about to attack but the growl of her mother stopped her. Noya turned her silver head to see her white furred mother. Noya dipped her head then whinnied, she nodded to her brother. "Hunt." Her mother just responded with, gesturing in another direction, away from her brother. Her voice was stretched out and low like all loth-wolves. Noya's tails came out and raised. She growled to her mother pleading that she help. "Lesson." The white loth-wolf answered, then shoving Noya in the direction the loth-rat had run off. "Go." Noya's mother growled, it sounded more like a growl  than a word to Noya, but she knew what her mother had meant. Noya ran off. Time passed and Noya's paws got sore, she slowed down to a walk. As Noya walked in a grassy field on Lothal she heard something fly through the air, and decided to follow the sound. At first she trotted then later she kicked up her speed to a run again. Her yellow eyes flickered around, wondering where the sound was coming from. The Noya continued to run at a higher speed and descended lower and lower, until all that was left was gently shaking grass. She ran until she realized she was in a different place....'

Something snapped her brain back to reality and Noya shook her fur. She was going to be strong, she had to help another before she could help her brother.
