*Shane’s P.O.V.*

That asshole!

At first impressions I thought this date would be cute and sweet, especially since he gave me a rose and it was going so well. But when we came out of the car and were heading towards the restaurant, he moved his hand when I tried to grab it – and I know he knows I wanted to hold his hand – and completely ignored me! Who on earth ignores there mates?

I tried to overlook that as I knew he was still in the closet and public dates on showing affection for guys aren’t exactly going to go good on his reputation. But then when we sat down and a pretty blonde came to the table – our waitress – he started to check her out, in front of me too!

Before I could do anything though, my wolf pushed through and growled softly at them, the blonde in anger and jealousy while Lucas was more of hurt and confusion. Did he lie about being gay? Was I just a stupid bet or challenge to him? Luckily she spoke at the same time so only Lucas heard and it seemed to snap him out of his staring.

Right now we were waiting for our foods in silence – it was uncomfortable to say the least so I took the time to look around the restaurant, only then realizing the beauty of it. The walls were painted deep crimson red with mahogany floorboards to match; the four corners of the ceiling had intricate designs drawn on.  The tables were dotted all over the place with pearl white clothes, a candle in the middle with rose petals scattered around it and chairs red but lined with gold.

 It was sweet and romantic – unlike our date.

Just then the waitress came back with our foods and – just to reassure myself that he didn’t lie about being gay – I tried to reach for his hand across the table, to show the woman that he was taken even though she didn’t seem interested in him. Yet again, however, he moved his hand away and ignored me by making polite chat (more like flirting) with the waitress, god I hated her.

As soon as she left, I scoffed down my food, threw on my jacket and stormed outside – I felt sick and I didn’t want to be anywhere close to him right now, how could he do this to me? Regrettably enough, I came here with him so I needed a ride back since it seemed like a log drive. I decided to call Alexia since I knew if I called Nick he would throw a tantrum and try to kill Lucas – even f he deserved it I don’t want that to happen.

I was right by the car when I flipped open my cell phone only for it to be snatched out of my hand not even a second later. I turned around to snap at the stupid person who thought stealing my phone while I’m angry is a good thing, but was shocked when I saw it was Lucas. I immediately put on a blank mask so he couldn’t see my emotion and held out my hand.”Give me back my phone” I ordered monotonously.

He stubbornly shook his head and asked me why I left, I lost it then.”Why? YOU WANNA KNOW WHY?! I left because you fucking lied to me about being gay flirted with the waitress on our ‘date’,” I used my fingers to make quotation marks around date.”And then you completely ignored me the whole time, YOU ASSHOLE!”I yelled, snatching my phone out of his hands and fuming.

 I didn’t wait for his excuses, instead I ran, ran farther and faster than ever before with tears streaming silently down my face and the wind whipping near my ears. I ran until I couldn’t run anymore and collapsed on the forest floor, not even realizing how I got there in the first place – I guess my wolf guided me.  For hours all I could hear where the soft echoes of my broken cry’s and sobs, filing up the dense woods. I wished today had never even happened
