And, t-that's enough to know that I will n-never be good enough to be with h-him," she snapped through stifled words.
"But why don't you just tell him? Why don't you let yourself have a chance at happiness for once?" he asked stepping forwards, wiping her cheeks with his thumbs.
"Because...loving him is a losing game. Either way, I'm the one getting hurt," Elsie whispered, falling into the arms of the boy in front of her.

Review: This book is broke my heart through and through. At this point, I honestly need to stop reading heartbreaking books, but they're usually the best. I loved Rory (an OC), Remus, and Elsie (the main OC) like I've loved no others. I also, for the first time in my life, enjoyed the Character Q&A. Again, I really recommend this amazing book to all James Potter fans.
Extra Comment: I talked to the author about this earlier, during January 2022, and the author said that they will soon work on a Rory fanfiction, which would be a spin-off of Losing Game.
