She Fell In Love with her Bestfriend

She watches him from across the room,
Her heart beating like a drum,
She tries to hide her feelings,
But she knows they'll come undone.

He's her best friend, her confidant,
The one who knows her best,
But lately, she's been feeling,
Like her heart's not at rest.

She wants to tell him how she feels,
But she's afraid of what he'll say,
Will he feel the same way too,
Or will he just push her away?

She writes him poems in her notebook,
But she never shows him a line,
She's scared he'll read between the words,
And see what's in her mind.

She knows she shouldn't keep it in,
But she just can't let it out,
She doesn't want to ruin their friendship,
Or create any doubt.

So she'll keep her feelings hidden,
And pretend they're just friends,
But deep down, she knows the truth,
And hopes it never ends.
