"Printer"
"Yeah, anyway, I printer the camera frame out..." Neteyam let out an annoyed huff at her terrible grammar when speaking about human items.
"It's called a picture; you print out pictures," he sighed, rubbing his forehead.
"Okay, mister know everything. I put the picture on the dartboard and started throwing my daggers at it." She smiled happily as she had just discovered the most incredible thing ever.
"There is something so fucked up in your head, Kazumi," he breathed, moving to rip the picture down and throwing it in the nearest bin.
"It's not my fault you have such a shitface," she returned, placing her skinny legs on the cold floor. Her hands reached out to grab the railing to stop her from falling.
"I think many girls would beg to differ," he smiled, cockily tilting his head. Lei'la narrowed her eyes at him.
"Then why don't you have a mate if every girl is throwing themselves at you?"
"Why don't you?" Neteyam shot back, taking a step closer to her, their chests almost flush against each other.
She stared up at his piercing golden eyes "If you must know, someone is already courting me".
When the words left her mouth, something shifted in Neteyam. He felt such ugly emotions. Jealousy. Neteyam was never jealous, he had nothing to be jealous of. He had the perfect family; he was the best hunter and fisherman, so why did the thought of his rival having a potential mate make him feel this way?
"Who?" His eyes and voice turned dark, sending a shiver down Lei'la's spine.
"None of your business, Sully." She shrugged, limping past his tall frame towards the door, but Neteyam once again blocked her from leaving.
"As your future Olo'etykan, I demand you tell me."
Lei'la let out a small scoff, rolling her eyes at the pathetic attempt. "Future chief, my arse, I don't have to tell you shit." Her small hand reached out to push him away, but Neteyam was faster, snatching her wrist before she could make contact.
"I won't ask again. Who is it?".
Lei'la didn't know what came over her; she never had a rational thought when it came to high-pressure situations, and she mostly did what she wanted. Nali was her rock, the one to bring her back to reality, but without her to tell Lei'la what to do, the girl did the only thing she could do to escape his grasp.
Neteyam jumped back, holding his arm close to his chest. A trickle of blood ran down his blue skin, tainting it before it trailed to the metal floor. Neteyam looked down at his arm before he looked up. "Did you just fucking bite me?"
Lei'la looked down at Neteyam's wound, then back at his face, which was pulled into a deep scowl. She internally weighed her choices: stay and deal with the consequences of her actions, or run. She chose the latter. Lei'la was out of the lab before Neteyam could even scream her name. Her feet carried her as fast as they could through the stronghold. She knew Neteyam would be hot on her tail; she scanned the area for somewhere where she would be safe from the eldest Sully's wrath, but of course, the universe wasn't on her side for a second time in the past week. Lei'la's face hit the rough ground as two large hands pushed her onto her back. She squinted her eyes, readjusting to the light, only to find it blocked out by a figure. Neteyam.
"You son of a bitch," Lei'la wheezed, trying to calm her breathing, but Neteyam's cold laugh made it quite difficult for her to do so.
"Oh, am I? At least I didn't bite someone like some rabid animal"
That was it. The rational sting in her mind snapped, and her legs wrapped around his middle, pressing them over so she was on top. Her hand came crashing down, shaking him in the face hard enough to whip him to the side.
Neteyam growled, pushing her off him until they were lying side by side. His fist came up to face her, but she quickly blocked it, using the spare moment to hit his chest, but he too blocked her attack. They spent 10 seconds pointlessly blocking their attacks until Lei'la shifted, bringing her leg up to kick him in the face. Her foot swiped against his chest, giving her a small window to escape. She scrambled to her feet, sprinting away from the boy, who was only a few paces behind. She refused to turn around, knowing he'd only be there.
Her chest crashed into another, and she hurriedly looked up at Na'vi, exhaling when she found the familiar face of Lo'ak pulling a confused face at her frazzled state. "Lei'la?"
Lei'la tried to catch her breath, her words coming out in short, jumbled phrases: "Ne ... coming ... help..."
Lo'ak looked behind the girl to find his older brother storming towards the pair with a fire in his eyes, the kind he gets when he is beyond angry, which was rare for Neteyam unless it involved Lei'la, which was quite often. Lo'ak pushed Lei'la behind him, holding his arms out to stop Neteyam.
"Bro, calm down," Lo'ak breathed, staring into Neteyam's eyes, which had darkened to a deep brown.
"Move Lo'ak. Now," he seethed, ready to push his brother to the side to catch his prey.
"No, bro, you need to calm down, please."
"Lo'ak," he growled, his fists clenching into balls, ready to strike to get rid of the obstacle stopping him from reaching Lei'la.
"What the hell is going on here?" A deep voice boomed from the right of the teenagers. All three of them whipped their heads to find Jake Sully staring down at them with his arms crossed over his chest.
