When 10th Sikh Guru,Guru Gobind Singh Ji Were growing up, he saw Mughals forcing Hindus and Sikhs to convert to Muslims. When Guru Ji finally grew up,He had a thought in his mind that the world needs a kaum (religious group) that can defend itself from forcefulness of the Mughals.
He Chose the day of Vaisakhi. For those who don't know what is vaisakhi,basically it is a festival celebrated by Indian farmers when harvesting their crops and selling it to the market on this day. Coming back to the story :-
He chose the day of Vaisakhi to give a speech about the new thought he had in mind. He gathered all of people from India and Pakistan to hisspeech,there were more people in his announcement more than ever. As people were sad that Mughals were torturing them to convert.
