My mom's eyes scanned my new room. Her face burned red, and she turned to me. "Chloe what is going on with you," she whispered softly. I glared at her and examined the changes of my room. It had been a week decorating, and I thought it looked great. The wallpaper was now a light shade of blue. I had scattered posters over one wall, and scribbled drawings on the next. The height chart was scribbled out. Dead, like dad. "Hey mom," I muttered, "Can I go visit Rachel?" Mom stared at me with anger filling her eyes. "No!" She growled, "you are grounded, and I want you to go to a hairdresser next month." The way she said hairdresser sounded reassuring but it was not. As soon as mom stumbled out of my room, I dived out the window, landing on soft grass. I was going to see Rachel Amber. The only person I have left.
